JDM: Japanese Drift Master Xbox Launch Date

JDM: Japanese Drift Master launches on Xbox Series X|S on November 21. The game will release with all of the content updates, improvements and patches, which have been published on the PC version up to this day. This includes additional cars, like the Nissan GTR R35 EBA or the Honda NSX NA1, as well as side missions and side campaigns.

JDM is tailored for all players in mind, with two different driving difficulty settings implemented in the game. We advise to begin the game in the Arcade mode, with its drifting assists active for easier initiation and maintaining the car when going sideways. At any time during the game, the players will be able to switch to the Simcade driving mode, where all assists are off, allowing for more control over the car, but requiring more skill to handle.

The Xbox version of the game will only support gamepads.

JDM: Japanese Drift Master for Xbox will be priced at 34,99 USD.

The game will also launch with a celebratory discount of 10% off, beginning November 14 (start of the Pre-Orders) and will last until December 4th.

Lucas Museum of Narrative Art to Open on September 22, 2026

Today, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, founded by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson, announced it will open to the public on September 22, 2026. This new cultural institution—architected by Ma Yansong of MAD, with gardens designed by Mia Lehrer of Studio-MLA—is in Los Angeles’s Exposition Park.

The Lucas Museum seeks to explore how stories connect people and capture the human experience. “Stories are mythology, and when illustrated, they help humans understand the mysteries of life,” said George Lucas, co-founder of the museum. The museum was built on the belief that illustrated storytelling is a universal language.

“This is a museum of the people’s art—the images are illustrations of beliefs we live with every day. For that reason, this art belongs to everyone,” said Lucas Museum co-founder Mellody Hobson. “Our hope is that as people move through the galleries, they will see themselves, and their humanity, reflected back.”

The Lucas Museum’s permanent collection holds more than 40,000 works, representing one of the most significant collections of narrative art. The building’s thirty-five galleries occupy 100,000 square feet. Galleries are named to reflect the human experience—love, family, community, play, work, sports, childhood, adventure, and more. They will display familiar pieces by beloved illustrators; mural paintings of the 20th and 21st centuries; comic art, of which the museum has deep and extensive holdings; children’s book illustrations; science-fiction illustrations; and the fantastic visions captured in 20th-century culture. The museum will also display cinematic artifacts, including movie posters, and show documentaries featuring artists and filmmakers.

Razer Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz Review: The Zero Excuses Keyboard

The world of “pro” gaming gear has become a full-blown arms race. Every company is chasing nanoseconds, hunting for any tiny edge that might separate them from the competition. PC gaming, specifically, has seen this more than any other space. Game console peripherals are often limited by guidelines set forth by the console maker. However, PC gaming gear is an uncapped market, capability-speaking. The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz is Razer’s attempt to build a PC gaming keyboard so fast, so precise, and so packed with tech that you can never, ever blame your hardware again. This is, quite literally, the “zero excuses” keyboard.

First Looks

If you just glance at it, it looks like a nice, standard Razer gaming keyboard. It’s got a solid aluminum top plate, really nice textured doubleshot PBT keycaps that won’t get all gross and shiny, and a comfy magnetic wrist rest. But the magic is under the hood.

The main sales pitch for the Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz boils down to two game-changing features: Adjustable Actuation and Rapid Trigger.

First, “Adjustable Actuation” sounds like boring marketing-speak, but it’s brilliant. Using Razer’s Gen-2 Analog Optical switches, you can decide exactly how far you want to press a key before it registers. Think about that. You can set your WASD keys to a “hair trigger” 0.1mm, so you move the instant your finger even thinks about pressing down. But then, you can set your “G” key for grenades, or your “X” for your ultimate ability, to a deep, intentional 4.0mm press. How many times have you accidentally fat-fingered your ultimate? This feature stops that.

But the real star of the show, the thing that changes everything, is Rapid Trigger. This is the killer app. On a normal keyboard, you press a key down to fire, and then you have to let it travel all the way back up past a reset point before you can press it again. Rapid Trigger blows that up. The instant the keyboard detects your finger moving upward, even a tiny bit, the key is reset and ready to be pressed again.

If you don’t play competitive shooters, that might sound trivial. If you play Valorant or Counter-Strike 2, you know that’s a massive step up in performance. Those games punish you for shooting while moving. The “counter-strafe” (tapping ‘A’ then immediately tapping ‘D’ to stop on a dime) is everything. With Rapid Trigger, your ability to stop, shoot, and move again is so fast it feels like you’re cheating. It is, in a word, “stunning”.

What About the 8KHz?

This is where things get… interesting. The “8KHz” refers to its polling rate. This keyboard reports its status to your PC 8,000 times per second, where most high-end boards top out at 1,000. On paper, this is a massive speed boost. Razer’s own numbers show it cuts latency from around 1.7ms down to just 0.58ms. That is a 66% reduction, which is objectively, measurably faster.

However, there are two points of discussion with this:

First, this speed comes at a cost. The software literally warns you that running at 8KHz polling will use more of your CPU. And guess what kind of games are most affected by high CPU usage? CPU-bound esports titles like Counter-Strike. So, the very feature designed to give you an edge in CS2 could, in theory, hurt your frame rates while playing CS2. It’s a “double-edged sword”. If a game does most of its intensive processing on the system’s discrete GPU, it may not be noticed. But, as the software warns us of this, we should in turn mention it here.

Second, can you feel the difference between 1ms of latency and 0.58ms? Maybe a competitive gamer can. But, for 99.9% of us, it’s a number on a box. It’s a spec-sheet victory that doesn’t always translate into a perceptible gain. Is 8KHz enough worth your money over a 1KHz keyboard?

Well is it?

Before your write off the 8KHz model as a pure marketing gimmick, think again. As it turns out, the Razer Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz models are the premium, deluxe versions of the Huntsman V3 Pro line, and the polling rate is only one of the upgrades. The other two are the ones that you should take note of.

Razer listened to feedback that its older optical boards were a bit “clacky” and high-pitched. So, for the 8KHz models only, they added two things: “strategic lubrication” inside the switches and a “thick, dense foam layer” inside the keyboard’s body.

The difference is night and day.

This keyboard feels amazing to type on. The hollow “clack” is gone, replaced by a “plush,” “muted,” and deeply satisfying sound. The key presses are “satisfyingly smooth”. The standard, non-8KHz versions of this keyboard do not have this foam or lube.

This is the real story: You’re not paying the extra $30-$40 for a polling rate you may not always feel. You’re paying for a premium, enthusiast-grade feel and sound that you will notice and appreciate every single second you use it. The 8KHz is just gaming gravy on that turkey!

The Day to Day

So, what’s it like to use every day? Honestly, it’s pretty great. The main competitor, Wooting, is famous for its lightweight, web-based software called Wootility. Razer’s Synapse, by contrast, is famously… not lightweight. It’s a big, chunky piece of software.

But Razer made a genius move. You don’t need Synapse in this case. You can control everything from the keyboard itself. You can enter “Quick Actuation Adjustment Mode” (FN + Tab) or “Quick Rapid Trigger Adjustment Mode” (FN + Caps Lock) and change your settings on the fly, saving them directly to one of the onboard profiles. For a pro player at a tournament, or just someone like me who hates running another piece of software on their system, this is a massive win.

The only real annoying part is the price. At $220 for the Tenkeyless (TKL) model and $250 for the full-size, this is definitely a premium gaming keyboard in both function and price.

Our Conclusion

This brings us back to the start. The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz is a serious, serious piece of gear. Is it overkill? For most people, absolutely. I won’t tell a casual gamer to buy this. This is not for you. It’s a “want, not a need” if there ever was one. But if you’re a highly competitive player, someone who knows their hardware is the last thing holding them back… this is your “zero excuses” board. And if you’re a keyboard enthusiast who also happens to be a serious gamer? You are the real target. You’re the person who wants that instantaneous Rapid Trigger performance and the premium, quiet, lubed-switch feel. You’re getting the best of both worlds. It’s absurdly fast, ridiculously precise, and, thanks to the lube and foam, a genuine pleasure to type on. It’s one of the most advanced keyboards you can buy, period.
