The Expanse: Osiris Reborn Bringing Space to Life Dev Diary

Recently, Owlcat Games offered fans a look behind the scenes of The Expanse: Osiris Reborn and its depiction of life in space in the form of a new dev diary revealed during the Golden Joystick Awards. In collaboration with former NASA astronaut and ISS commander Leroy Chiao, the studio worked at striking the right balance between realism and playability.

The Expanse: Osiris Reborn is based on the book series and TV show. The Expanse is famous for taking a “hard” approach to the science-fiction genre, incorporating real-world scientific theories and practices. In order to make life in space in-game as faithful to the original as possible, while at the same time creating a fun gaming experience, Owlcat collaborated with former NASA pilot and ISS commander Leroy Chiao, incorporating his experience on how he moved, breathed, and even ate in space. For example, astronauts tend to favor spicy food in order to regain some of the loss of sensation that comes from living on a space station for months or years at a time — this is reflected in-game with characters clearly having a craving for fiery food!

On the other hand, the team had to move away from a purely realistic depiction of life in space at some points, so the gameplay didn’t suffer. Real astronauts use tethers when they leave the security of their ships and space stations; but since this would be cumbersome in a video game, magnetic boots were introduced as a compromise.

The same approach applies to combat: firearm ballistics and recoil work differently in zero-G than on solid ground, and famously, there is (almost) no sound in space. However, since sound effects and weapon feedback are important elements of what makes combat in games feel good, the team had to find a compromise. Sound in game is muffled, but players can still get feedback in the form of vibrations, breathing, and radio sound.

Stay tuned for more information about The Expanse: Osiris Reborn in the future.

The Expanse: Osiris Reborn will launch on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG, and on console via Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Fans can wishlist the game now.

DON’T SCREAM TOGETHER Brings Viral Densation to Steam December 3rd

Digital Cybercherries are pleased to reveal that DON’T SCREAM TOGETHER, the co-op reimagining of their viral horror hit, DON’T SCREAM, will launch December 3rd on Steam. DON’T SCREAM TOGETHER offers not only co-op, but also a new game mode where you can hunt down your friends, expanded locations, dynamic scares, improved voice detection, accessibility options and much more.

DON’T SCREAM TOGETHER is an experience about friendship, fear, and keeping your voice down. Up to four players must survive the night together by exploring, finding batteries for their camcorders, and speaking quietly through a forest that may – or may not – be haunted. Beware the jump scares, because if anyone screams, everyone restarts. If you choose to play in the new “Hunted” mode, speaking too loudly will see that player return as a playable hunter who can track, stalk, and intimidate the remaining team via proximity voice before finishing them off.

NBA 2K26 Player Ratings Update #2

Today, 2K announced the latest NBA 2K26 ratings featuring Donovan Mitchell, Cade Cunningham and Jalen Johnson, who have been putting up numbers on both sides of the ball.

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell: 94 OVR (+1) has posted 32.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game over the last two weeks, along with averaging a career best of 38 percent on three-point attempts. He’s in the midst of his prime and has the numbers to back it up, despite a hater calling him “washed” in an online game of NBA 2K26.

Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham: 93 OVR (+1) is leading the Pistons off to its best start in 20 years. Cunningham dropped a 46-point triple-double, adding seven stocks (steals and blocks) to his statline. The 24-year-old star is well on his way to making another All-Star appearance in February.

Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson: 87 OVR (+1) finds himself quickly approaching the 90 OVR club thanks to his athletic build that makes him difficult to guard, and his speed and strength to attack the rim. Johnson has stepped into a leadership position on the court, commanding the offense with 23.7 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 8.3 assists per game over the last two weeks.

The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu Gameplay Trailer

During today’s Xbox Partner Preview online conference, publisher NACON and studio ACE Team unveiled the first gameplay trailer for The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu. The title offers a first-person horror experience that can be played cooperatively by up to four players online, and will be released in Summer 2026 on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Freely inspired by the novella The Mound from the master of cosmic horror, H. P. Lovecraft, The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu invites players to form a squad of 2 to 4 members to search for a legendary underground city containing priceless treasures.

The game is set in the 16th century, during the era of the great explorations of the New World. Each expedition begins on the explorers’ galleon, where players gather, select their next mission, and choose together the weapons and equipment that will give them a chance to survive what lies ahead.

Once ashore, players must work together to survive the cursed jungle, find treasure, complete their mission, and make it back to the galleon alive. The area is home to many creatures that threaten the explorers’ lives and also damage their sanity to the point of making them doubt everything.

Are you the only one who heard that scream in the forest? Is that your ally coming to your rescue, or a monster rushing towards you? Can you still trust your perception, and do you really have time to assess the situation? One wrong decision, one misplaced shot, and the mission could turn into a disaster. To survive, mutual aid and communication via proximity voice chat will be essential to untangle illusion from reality, dispel the group’s doubts and paranoia, and hope to return safe and sound (of mind) to the galleon.

The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu will be available in Summer 2026 on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series and PC.

A Game About Digging a Hole Coming to Consoles

Sometimes a small idea goes much further than expected. A Game About Digging a Hole was one of those ideas, suddenly people everywhere were digging, sharing clips, and turning the game into a viral moment.

Along the way, we started seeing copycats on mobile and even consoles. Not “inspired by” – but almost exact copies. Oddly flattering, sometimes frustrating, but ultimately a sign of how far the original has reached.

Launching on December 9 for Xbox, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch!

The original is now coming to all major consoles. We can’t wait for A Game About Digging a Hole to land where many of you have been waiting for it.
