Today, Blizzard Entertainment posted the “Blizzard Yearbook 2025” on Blizzard.com. A new format for the traditional year-in-review post, the Blizzard Yearbook offers a look back on the past 12 months in the style of a classic high school yearbook. From game releases to industry events, community celebrations to on-campus fun, the nostalgia is in high gear, complemented by class superlatives, doodles, and friendly graffiti within the Yearbook’s pages.
“I continue to be blown away by the incredible work our colleagues produce across Blizzard and am so excited to share what we’re prepping for 2026,” said Johanna Faries, President of Blizzard Entertainment, in her opening message of the Yearbook as a nod to both this year and the next. “Not only will we have major expansion releases with countless surprises in store, we’ll also be gathering again at BlizzCon 2026 in what we hope will be an unforgettable experience as one big community.”
One of Blizzard’s favorite year-end traditions is “Blizzard by the Numbers,” a collection of fun facts and stats highlighting the astronomical power of Blizzard players in 2025. “Blizzard by the Numbers” pages are spread throughout the Yearbook, celebrating each game universe and the Battle.net platform. Some of these stats include:
- Battle.net: Over 51 million people played a Blizzard game this year! If all of you attended one BlizzCon, we’d need around 1,500 BlizzCons! So many BlizzCons…

- World of Warcraft (Modern): Over 1.2 billion bosses pulled. If each boss fight lasted just 60 seconds, you spent the equivalent of over 2,000 years fighting bosses.
- Diablo IV: Over 30 million Mythics acquired. This is akin to harvesting the teeth from nearly a million human skulls and forging them into Mythics.
- Overwatch 2: Damage: Over 29 trillion. The equivalent of Reinhardt swinging his hammer every second, non-stop, for over 10,000 years to meet the community’s damage output!

The Blizzard Yearbook was assembled by the unofficial “Blizzard Yearbook Committee,” a group of writers, designers, and other Blizzard employees who contributed to its development.
