Creepy Jar, the Polish studio behind the critically acclaimed survival simulator, Green Hell, is excited to announce that the co-op playtest for StarRupture is coming on December 3rd, 2025. Players will be able to request access to the Playtest starting today via the StarRupture Steam page. The Playtest period spans from December 3rd to December 8th and is the first chance to experience the exciting co-op action and hijinks that StarRupture has to offer.
Similar to the single-player playtest from this summer, the co-op playtest will feature an early slice of the game, complete with the game’s core mechanics, a guided tutorial (in single-player mode), and a free play option with map restrictions. The Playtest is the last chance to check out the fun of StarRupture ahead of its Early Access launch on January 6th, 2026.
In StarRupture, you are a prisoner serving your sentence on a faraway planet where danger lurks at every turn. Tasked with building a factory and gathering resources for global corporations that don’t care if you live or die, survival on Arcadia-7 is anything but guaranteed. Not only will you have to defend your base from menacing enemies, but you’ll also have to prepare for a somewhat more terrifying threat; the planet’s very own life-giving—and taking—star, Ruptura.
Featuring an electrifying mix of base building, exploration, combat, and survival, both solo or in a 4-player co-op, StarRupture is an out-of-this-world experience that is launching in Steam Early Access on January 6th, 2026.
