Beginning today, a PlayStation 5 physical edition of Atari’s Breakout Beyond is available to pre-order for $29.99 at Atari.com. Developed by Choice Provisions, Breakout Beyond is a modernized and neon-soaked reimagining of the 1976 classic. Pre-orders will ship with the retail release on December 11.
Delivering an adrenaline-pumping soundtrack, a hoard of new power-ups and dozens original levels, Breakout Beyond takes the franchise to a chaotic new dimension. Unlike the original, the game is played horizontally, challenging players to break their way through bricks, hit special blocks and power through levels. Players can chain combos by playing for longer, ramping up on-screen action and creating something that is truly epic to behold.
Featuring 72 brick-breaking levels, an unlockable endless mode with an online global leaderboard, two-player co-op to enjoy the chaos with a friend and procedural audio and visual effects that ramp up with your combo, Breakout Beyond has something for the thrill seeker in everyone.
