CCP Games has announced a three-day Hackathon for EVE Frontier, the hardcore survival MMO. Running April 29 – May 1, players and developers will compete to create third-party tools and applications that enhance the player experience, such as interactive maps, data explorers, analytics dashboards, and other utilities.
The winning teams will receive up to $3,000 in Icelandair Vouchers and additional tickets to EVE Fanfest 2026.
Taking place before EVE Fanfest, the Hackathon will reward innovative ideas that resonate with EVE Frontier’s vision for a massively moddable living universe, empowering the community with tools for survival, intel and collaboration.
Using the EVE Frontier REST API and WORLD API, in-game data will be readily available for participants, allowing them to access both public and private endpoints. The third hackathon for EVE Frontier, it will also introduce PODs (Provable Object Data), a new framework that enables integration of out-of-game events and applications with in-game data. More details on PODs can be found at https://pod.org/.
