Westlanders Open-World Wild West Survival Game Announced

Independent video game publisher Radical Theory (Rooftops & Alleys: The Parkour Game) is proud to announce its partnership with the talented Spanish developer The Breach Studios to fuel the development of Westlanders, an ambitious open-world survival, crafting, building, and management game, coming soon to consoles and PC with both solo and co-op modes. The studios aim to leverage a Kickstarter campaign and early access period to maintain constant engagement with the player community.

Get a first glimpse of the action in the new Westlanders Reveal Trailer!

Westlanders immerses players in the hostile lands of a Wild West inspired by 19th-century North America. In this unique setting, players must not only survive the ruthless elements of the West, but also master technologies to build villages, establish trade routes, and utilize resources to tame these lands and the dangers lurking within.

A Collaborative Roadmap

To bring the ambitious vision of Westlanders to life, Westlanders will roll out with a three-phase launch strategy, putting players at the heart of the creative process:

  • Kickstarter Campaign (Early 2026): Launch of a crowdfunding campaign to unite the community.
  • Early Access: A development period spanning several months where early adopters will be able to play and provide feedback along with Kickstarter backers.
  • Full Release (v1.0): Global launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Building the game in close collaboration with players was an obvious move for the team. The goal is not solely financial –  the early access version is already funded – but mostly community-driven: building Westlanders in direct collaboration with its audience.

Commenting on this approach, Ferran Punti, CEO of The Breach Studios, stated: “We want to create a game that evolves thanks to those who play it. Kickstarter and early access will allow us to work hand in hand with motivated, invested, and passionate players. We will carefully listen to this community, which shares our love of rich and satisfying game mechanics, to tune and perfect the experience before the console release. That is why choosing to work with Radical Theory as a strategic partner felt natural, as they understand and support studios through their experience, deep expertise, and genuine transparency.”

Luc Heninger, CEO of Radical Theory, added: “It is a real pleasure to collaborate with the team at The Breach Studios – developers who are as passionate as they are friendly and talented. Westlanders won us over in the first few minutes of gameplay, as the Western setting is still rarely explored in the survival-crafting genre. We have a true sandbox experience here that will allow players from all backgrounds to experiment with rich, deep mechanics. The idea is to have a blast with friends, as we want players to dive into building, fighting, and resource management in co-op as quickly as possible.”

Fallout Shelter Season: Viva New Vegas is Out Now

Ten years since launch, and over 230,000,000 downloads across all platforms, Bethesda Games Studio’s support for Fallout Shelter continues with the release of the game’s first Season, available now for mobile and Steam players.

Inspired by Vault-Tec’s experiments, Seasons – the game’s largest update since the addition of Quests back in 2016 – introduces limited-time Vaults to the game – completely separate from the player’s original Vault. Accessible to all Shelter players, each Season will have a unique theme, bringing new challenges to complete and rewards to claim. The debut season, Viva New Vegas, takes inspiration from the upcoming Prime Video Fallout television series. During Fallout Shelter’s Viva New Vegas Season, players can take on Quests to help revitalize the familiar locations of Novac and New Vegas.

Also new to Fallout Shelter is the Season Pass, a rewards tracker that’s unique for each Season. By completing challenges in-game, players can progress through the Battle Pass for new and existing items, weapons, and dwellers, including three characters from the show. The Season Pass has two track options for players to choose from – Free and Paid. Rewards can be obtained retroactively if a player purchases the Season Pass later in the season. Players can also purchase the Premium Season Pass upgrade at any time during the season, providing them with all the paid Season Pass benefits, plus bonus pets, outfits, weapons, 25 Badges to gain Season ranks instantly, and, most excitingly, the Mr. House as a Legendary Dweller.

Players on Android, iOS, and Steam can access Fallout Shelter’s first Season today. Visit this page for more information: https://bethesda.net/en/article/67pYOsYXU6slVXxfMyaNWR/fallout-shelter-seasons-officially-launches-with-viva-new-vegas

Rainbow Six Siege Wildcards Siege Event Launches Today

The new Wildcards Siege event debuts in Rainbow Six Siege today to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the game with game-changing modifiers inspired by Siege history that players vote on each round to shake things up. Running through January 5, Wildcards Siege takes place on the reworked House map during dusk, setting a nostalgic stage for the action. Four Operator bundles designed by community artists are available as part of the event collection, along with a weapon kit, signature bundle, and Memento reward for completing the collection. Players can earn free items and event packs during the event in a variety of ways, including Twitch Drops, Ubisoft Connect challenges, and simply logging in to the event and claiming one.

What is the Wildcards Siege Event?

Wildcards Siege event matches are best-of-five Bomb mode showdowns. Each round, players are presented with a selection of modifiers to vote on; each player gets one vote, and the top two most-voted modifiers will go into effect for the next round. There is a wide range of available modifiers, including Multi-pick, which allows duplicate Operator selections (a team of 5 Kapkans?), and Tactical Realism, a throwback mode which strips away HUD elements for a more immersive experience. Modifiers can also impact available Operators (e.g. Redhammer squad members only), require all players to use a specific type of weapon, or reverse movement inputs. The latter is a reference to a notorious bug from Siege’s past, but rest assured that all modifiers have been tweaked with the goal of all players having fun, or at least facing an equal challenge.

Featuring the House Map at Dusk

In keeping with the anniversary celebration theme, Wildcards Siege matches are played on the House map. House was the first map showcased when Rainbow Six Siege was revealed at E3 2014, though it has undergone significant renovations over the years; Wildcards Siege is played at dusk on the reworked version of House.

Community Artist Bundles

The Wildcards Siege event collection features four Operator bundles created by four artists from the Siege community. These artists worked with the Siege dev team to pick their preferred Operator, develop their unique look, and implement the design into the game. There is a Smoke bundle designed by Leotta, a Valkyrie bundle designed by YiRan, a Nøkk bundle designed by LevaSoj, and a Vigil bundle designed by Fenja.

Complete the Wildcards Siege Event Collection

In addition to the four community artist bundles, the Wildcards Siege event also offers a weapon kit with four weapon skins, one each for the MP7, the 552 Commando, the UMP45, and the AK-12. There is also a signature bundle, including a universal weapon skin, an attachment skin, a drone skin, and a charm. Players who complete the collection will unlock the Memento reward: a 3D-animated legendary skin for the AR33 used by Thatcher and Flores.

How to Unlock Wildcards Siege Event Items For Free

Log into Rainbow Six Siege during the Wildcards Siege event and head to the in-game Store to claim your free event pack. These packs have a chance to include any of the items from the Wildcards Siege event collection. You can also unlock packs by completing Ubisoft Connect Challenges over the course of the event, as well as through Twitch Drops campaigns; just make sure your Ubisoft and Twitch accounts are linked and watch Rainbow Six Siege livestreams with drops enabled for the requisite time.

Rainbow Six Siege is available in Free Access on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store, as well as with a Ubisoft+ Premium subscription.

Walt Disney Animation Studios Zootopia 2 Surpasses $1B at the Box Office

Today, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Zootopia 2” will cross the $1 billion mark at the global box office after only 17 days in release, having earned $986.1 million globally thus far ($232.7 million domestic and $753.4 million international). The hit film will be the second Motion Picture Association (MPA) $1 billion title of 2025 after Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch,” and will reach the global milestone in the shortest amount of time among all animated MPA releases and all PG-rated films.

This milestone also marks the first back-to-back billion-dollar releases for Walt Disney Animation Studios, following last year’s “Moana 2.” The studio now counts five billion-dollar titles since 2013: “Frozen,” “Frozen 2,” “Moana 2,” “Zootopia,” and “Zootopia 2.”

“Everyone at Disney Animation put their heart, soul and passion into this film to tell a story full of joy, imagination, and incredible thoughtfulness,” said Jared Bush, Chief Creative Officer, Walt Disney Animation Studios. “This milestone means the world to us, because more than anything, it means audiences are coming to theaters for a shared experience of watching this movie on the big screen, everyone together, from all walks of life around the world – and that is a Zootopia dream come true.”

With a Certified Hot audience score of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes and an A CinemaScore, “Zootopia 2” opened on November 26 to a record-breaking $559.5 million in five days, becoming the highest global animated opening of all time, the highest global debut of 2025, and the highest global opening for any animated film in Disney history. In addition, it stands as the No. 1 international MPA release of the year.

Amid its stellar international performance, “Zootopia 2” has broken a number of historic records in China. It is the country’s highest animated opening of all time for a non-local title – with a massive $272 million – and the highest-grossing non-local animated film of all time, which was achieved in only five days. Today, the film stands as the No. 2 MPA release of all time in the country, behind Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Endgame,” with an estimated $447million to date. The Walt Disney Studios now also holds three of the top five highest-grossing MPA titles ever released in the Chinese market.

While “Zootopia 2” continues its phenomenal worldwide theatrical run, its box office success has also reignited interest in the franchise, driving record viewership of “Zootopia” and “Zootopia+” on Disney+, where they’ve been viewed for more than 725 million hours globally on the platform.

NO BRAINS. NO BRAKES. NO FILTER.

In the near future, an experimental attempt to harness the power of the Earth’s core ends in a terrifying disaster, turning soil to sludge and the living to undead monsters. Leon Dorsey, the genius behind the experiment, had a plan to make things right: hire a team of highly trained mercenaries to get the job done. Unfortunately, they were all too expensive. That’s why he hired THE TOXIC COMMANDOS.

Tag team as a squad of up to four players, featuring full crossplay support across PC and consoles. Send the Sludge God and its horde of things-that-should-never-be back to the underworld as you drive across semi-open maps and tear through the wasteland. Find how your squad clicks, shooting swarms of enemies together and smashing them under the wheels of your favorite ride for that pure rush of satisfaction. Unload an array of gunfire, grenades, special abilities, and even freaking katanas. When mutated monstrosities swarm from every angle, teamwork isn’t optional—it’s survival.

Pre-order the Standard or Blood Edition and Get Free DLC

NO LAW Reveal Trailer

KRAFTON, Inc., the publisher of PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, today revealed NO LAW, a first-person open-world shooter RPG set in the gritty cyber-noire city of Port Desire. The game is being developed by Neon Giant, the Swedish studio behind The Ascent, and made its world premiere during The Game Awards 2025. NO LAW is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

In NO LAW, players step into the boots of Grey Harker, an ex-military veteran who left his war-torn past behind for a quiet life tending his plants until trouble finds him again. When his peace is violently shattered, Harker must rely on his black-ops instincts and custom hardware to take back what was stolen and confront the city that wronged him.

Set against the backdrop of Port Desire, a sprawling port carved into the cliffs of a restless sea, NO LAW invites players into a world built on neon sleaze instead of regulation. The city is a hub of import and excess, overflowing with colorful characters whose motives are as murky as the smog-filled skyline. From the rooftop gardens to the alleys below, every inch of Port Desire is alive, reactive, and waiting to be shaped by the player’s choices.

Every decision carries weight. Help a friend in need or silence an enemy permanently; take the tactical route through the shadows or unleash chaos in open combat. Even in a city of no laws, actions still have consequences. Each playthrough reveals new possibilities, allies, and outcomes, making NO LAW an immersive shooter defined as much by its story and morality as its firepower.

Powered by Unreal Engine 5, NO LAW blends visceral first-person combat with deep player agency. Whether you favor precision, stealth, or destruction, your approach defines the experience. Master advanced military upgrades, experiment with sci-fi tools and vertical movement, and turn every mission into a personal story of revenge, consequence, and survival.

“NO LAW represents the next step for us as a studio,” said Claës af Burén, Managing Director at Neon Giant. “With The Ascent, we built a strong foundation for how we approach worldbuilding, systems, and storytelling. This new project takes everything we’ve learned and applies it to a completely different kind of experience — one that’s bigger, more reactive, and more personal than anything we’ve done before.”

Following the success of The Ascent, NO LAW marks a new creative chapter for Neon Giant under KRAFTON’s growing portfolio of global studios. The game continues KRAFTON’s vision of supporting distinctive, high-quality experiences that push the boundaries of gameplay, technology, and worldbuilding.
