An action-packed launch trailer reveals first gameplay from Trials of War’s new modes as well as its new omnimech variants, all of which goes nominal today for $19.99 alongside a free update on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. A full Star of five players can enjoy Trials of War’s content, even if the session’s host is the only player in the group that owns the DLC. Trials of War’s launch trailer finds members of Clan Smoke Jaguar, the group central to MechWarrior 5: Clans’ narrative and overarching conflict, preparing for Mech combat against their fellow clan members (or Sibkin). The Trials of War DLC introduces:

  • Horde Mode: Brave the Inner Sphere’s greatest trial as part of a five-player Star, or command a squad of AI allies while forging through endless waves of engaging, varied PvE combat.
  • Unlockable Challenge Levels: Progress through MechWarrior 5: Clans’ story to unlock additional challenges tailored to specific Mech weight classes.
  • Arena Mode: Drop into 10 all-new arena maps optimized for exhilarating fights, standing as part of a five-pilot team comprised of players or AI allies, or brave a free for all to emerge as an undisputed warrior in two distinct combat types:
  • Melee Mode: Rack up points demolishing opponents while capitalizing on unlimited respawns for a bold, uncompromising pace of battle.
