In a thrilling preview at Gamescom, Titan Quest II fans had the chance to get their hands on an exclusive demo, offering a glimpse into the game’s rich storytelling, dynamic quests, and rewarding exploration.
Set against the backdrop of a world in turmoil, players are introduced to the iconic divine horse Areion, and embark on a quest to find the missing god Glaukos. Along the way, they’ll battle the monstrous Ichthians, safeguard the village of Pyrgos, and discover secrets hidden throughout the vibrant landscape.
The game’s quest system shines through two main types: “Fated Quests,” which drive the main narrative, and “World Quests,” unlocked through exploration and without the need to get the quest before you do it. For example, if the player finds a cave full of prisoners before they find the official questgiver, they can free the prisoners right away and complete the quest.
Additionally, players can even stumble upon hidden “Exploration Events,” adding layers of mystery and reward for those curious enough to venture off the beaten path.
