The horror maestros at DreadXP are excited to announce the 2024 edition of The Indie Horror Showcase, a celebration of upcoming nightmarish games made by game developers across the world. The showcase aims to highlight the best horror from indie creators and engage a very active community that is always looking for the next great unsettling adventure and big scares. Set to air on October 24th, 2024, and brought to you in partnership with The Media Indie Exchange with support from acclaimed developers and publishers, submissions are now open and will be available until September 16th.
Last year’s showcase was a massive success, showing over 60 trailers and announcements to an estimated live viewership of over 50,000, and with additional post-showcase trailer viewership in excess of 3 million views across all the included titles. The Indie Horror Showcase was home to world-first announcements such as the launch day trailer for World of Horror, the announcement of the Monster Prom 3 x Cult of the Lamb collaboration, and the first teaser trailer for Amanda the Adventurer 2. The show is a space to elevate a wide selection of open-submission work from developers of all sizes in the indie horror scene, all in addition to the announcements and trailers of partners. For this year’s showcase, publisher DreadXP and partner, The MIX, are once again working together to maximize visibility for the titles selected for this year’s livestream.
The selection of games and highlights for this year’s showcase will be announced at a later date. The teams involved encourage everyone making a horror (or horror-adjacent) game to apply and be part of a community that comes back mightier each year with even more deadly scares and twisted dreams.
