Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Announced

SAN FRANCISCO & STOCKHOLM – March 21, 2019 – Paradox Interactive today at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco revealed Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, a role-playing game (RPG) set in a Seattle faithfully reimagined in the World of Darkness. The game is currently in development and will launch on PC and consoles in 2020. Developed by Hardsuit Labs, Bloodlines 2 is the successor to the iconic RPG Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, featuring reactive storytelling, fast-paced melee combat, and intriguing characters with their own hidden motives. Players will become the ultimate vampire as they stalk the city streets for prey, maneuver complex political relationships, and balance their need for blood against their withering humanity.

Pre-orders for Bloodlines 2 are now available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, GOG, and the Paradox Store for $59.99. A “Blood Moon Edition,” which contains the “Season of the Wolf” season pass and includes additional story content to be released after launch, is also available for pre-order at $89.99. Pre-orders, along with additional information about the game, are available here: www.bloodlines2.com

Created in an act of vampire insurrection, your existence ignites a blood war among the vampire factions who run Seattle. To survive, you’ll choose a clan and enter into uneasy alliances with the competing factions in a world which will react to every choice you make. Unleash your supernatural powers against your prey, but be mindful of your surroundings at all times or run the risk of breaking the Masquerade — the absolute law of secrecy that keeps Vampire society hidden from humanity.

The creative mind behind the original Bloodlines, Brian Mitsoda, returns as Lead Narrative Designer for Bloodlines 2, giving fans a true successor to the original cult classic. “When Paradox announced they were acquiring the World of Darkness IP, I immediately started thinking about what it would be like to return to Vampire: The Masquerade,” Mitsoda said. “Our aim has been to carry on the signature themes that made Bloodlines unique – particularly its dark tone, atmosphere, and humor – and I think that fans of the original will love what we’re doing with Bloodlines 2.”

“Fans of the original Bloodlines have been hungry for a sequel for a long time, and we began to hear those suggestions — well, demands — as soon as we began to work with the World of Darkness,” said Ebba Ljungerud, CEO of Paradox Interactive. “We all understood what this opportunity could mean, but it was essential for both us and for Hardsuit Labs that any sequel should be done properly; a true successor guided by the people who knew what made the original so special. Keeping this game a secret for the last few years has been quite the Masquerade for us! It’s both exciting and relieving to finally let everybody know what we have in store for them.”

“At Hardsuit Labs we’re proud to have assembled a team of industry veterans who have worked on blockbuster titles, ranging from narrative-driven RPGs to action-packed shooters,” said Andy Kipling, CEO of Hardsuit Labs. “We started working on our pitch almost immediately after we heard that Paradox had acquired the IP and I’m thrilled that Paradox recognized our passion and abilities. We are honored to be bringing Bloodlines 2 to fans all over the world.”

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 features:

  • Become the Ultimate Vampire – Immerse yourself in the World of Darkness and live out your vampire fantasy in a city filled with intriguing characters that react to your choices. Chernobylite Kickstarter Announcement Teaser

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – March 21st, Gliwice, Poland — The unrestricted exploration of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone combined with non-linear storytelling, unique crafting, and challenging opponents to fight is an exceptional mix. A mix that must have its accents carefully spread out between all its components in order to ensure that the final result will be a one-of-a-kind experience to be remembered for years. This is why Chernobylite will soon be heading to Kickstarter – to give players a chance to support the game throughout its development and have a meaningful impact on its final form.

Add your e-mail address HERE to subscribe to the game’s newsletter and stay informed of any news once the Kickstarter campaign starts.

You can also add the game to your Steam wishlist (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1016800/Chernobylite/) and follow further updates on its development.

Ever since we’ve announced our game, we’ve been receiving tons of comments and feedback from the gaming community out there, and it all led us to one conclusion. That everybody hopes to be able to explore the destroyed Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and Pripyat ghost city in our game as deeply as possible. And we’re more than eager to deliver that. But this means, that we should expand the locations in the game comparing to the original concept we had, and ask gamers for their help in doing so. It’s a hard and dangerous task, keeping in mind that to achieve that goal, we’ll need to make some extra trips to the Exclusion Zone and scan even more buildings and objects.

That is precisely why we’ve decided to reach out for the community support. Within the next few weeks, we’ll be starting the Kickstarter campaign for Chernobylite. During its duration gamers will get the chance to pre-order the game and make pledges to receive some really cool items, including the highly demanded Black Stalker mask. The crowdfunding campaign will also let us collect some extra funds to do the Chernobylite location expansions plus add some extra features that we were always dreaming of. So we encourage all players to sign up to our newsletter and stay tuned for the news on the Kickstarter campaign launch date! – said Wojciech Pazdur, The Farm 51 CEO.

Control and Journey to the Savage Planet to be Epic Games Store Exclusives

SAN FRANCISCO – March 20, 2019 – Global videogame publisher 505 Games, a subsidiary of the Italian entertainment company Digital Bros., today announced at the Game Developers’ Conference (GDC) a partnership that will see the digitally-distributed PC versions of two highly-anticipated games release exclusively through the Epic Games store:

  • Control: Set in a unique and ever-changing world that juxtaposes our familiar reality with the strange and unexplainable, Control is a third-person action-adventure game combining award-winning developer Remedy Entertainment’s trademark gunplay with supernatural abilities. In addition to PC, Control is confirmed for a simultaneous physical and digital retail launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in late Summer 2019.
  • Journey to the Savage Planet: The debut title from industry veterans Alex Hutchinson, Yassine Riahi and Reid Schneider’s Typhoon Studios is an upbeat first-person adventure game set in a bright and colorful alien world filled with weird and wonderful creatures, in which players are tasked with exploring, cataloguing alien flora and fauna and determining if the planet is fit for human habitation. The digital PC release of both titles will be exclusive to the Epic Games store for a period of 12 months. No other terms of the deal were announced.

The Cycle to be Epic Games Store Exclusive

BERLIN – March 20, 2019 – YAGER, the acclaimed developer of Spec Ops: The Line and Dreadnought, has revealed that its newest game, the competitive quest shooter The Cycle, will release exclusively on Windows PC via the Epic Games Store later this year. Players can go to the Epic Games Store right now or visit https://thecycle.game/sign-up/ to sign up for The Cycle’s three-day alpha test, playable in English, German and Russian, which will run from March 28-30.

“We’re beyond excited to join forces once again with our long-time friends at Epic Games to officially introduce The Cycle to the Epic Games Store’s huge community of players hungry for truly unique gaming experiences. The Cycle is a new leap forward for YAGER as a self-publishing developer, which we owe to this joint partnership,” said YAGER founder and Managing Director Timo Ullmann. “This is a rare chance to challenge yourself with a fresh new take on competitive and cooperative multiplayer shooters, and you can get a taste of it later this month.”

The Cycle is a match-based first-person shooter with an emphasis on PvPvE action, completing jobs, gearing up with new weapons and powers, out-scoring other players and making it off the planet alive. On the exotic alien frontier of Fortuna III, you’ll compete against and – if you choose – team up with other Prospectors to harvest resources, defeat hostile lifeforms and make your fortune before the world, your rivals or even your so-called allies kill you.

It’s up to you how to stake your claim: go it alone, form squads with friends or make uneasy temporary alliances with strangers. The Cycle delivers a competitive multiplayer experience where everyone can survive, but how you choose to manage your time on Fortuna III can have a big impact. Completing your own objectives will give you more points on the leaderboard, but knocking off your opponents is a surefire way to make sure they don’t get any higher either.

The Cycle is expected to enter closed beta this spring. For the latest information as it develops, visit www.thecycle.game, and follow The Cycle on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

RAD will be available in Summer 2019 for STEAM®, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Nintendo Switch™ and Xbox One.

“We’re thrilled to finally reveal the game and can’t wait for the community to jump into this colorful RAD world,” said Randy Le, Brand Manager for BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. “Double Fine is bringing its trademark charm to the game with a unique story, interesting characters, and an unforgettable experience.”

In RAD, players take on the role of a teenage protagonist who must venture into the Fallow — an ever-changing, radioactive wasteland filled with unknown and unspeakable creatures. It’s here that they’ll find the solution to heal the world, and transform the cracked, barren landscape into a lush source of new life. But humanity’s future comes at great personal cost, as the deeper they journey into unknown lands, the more they will expose themselves to gnarly toxins which will wreak havoc on their fragile human form.
