Riverside, CA. August 29, 2018 – Tricksters of all ages can rejoice! The Inland Empire’s favorite daytime and nighttime Halloween events are returning for another season at Castle Park. During the day while the sun is bright, the family-friendly Halloween fun-tivities are returning with a new theme, Dia De Los Muertos, filled with arts and crafts, contests, and entertainment. When darkness falls, Castle Park transforms itself for another year of terrifying and exhilarating Halloween haunts at Castle Dark.
Dia De Los Muertos
For families looking for more cheer than fear, Castle Park’s Dia De Los Muertos daytime fun-tivities is the perfect place. Reveling in Mexico’s annual celebration of the connection between family members that have passed and those still present, Guests 12 and under can enjoy fright-less family fun every Saturday and Sunday, September 29th through October 28th The fun begins at noon when the ride park opens with arts and crafts such as sugar skull decorating, pumpkin painting, Halloween costume contest, trick or treating, entertainment throughout the park, and more!
Castle Dark
Beginning Saturday, September 29th, beware when the sun goes down, because every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through October 28th, the real Halloween scares will howl. The Castle Dark lineup includes 4 new haunted maze attractions all interwoven with a brand new theme, The Lady in White! Guests will search to find the Lady in White’s hidden soul, heart, and mind and restore them to rescue her and themselves from oblivion.
2018 NEW Mazes include:
• Nightmare – Dare to enter a dark, twisted bedroom where a young girl has been thrown into a cursed nightmare by her evil stepmother, the Lady in White.
• Along Came a Spider – The Lady in White’s favorite nursery rhyme takes a life altering turn. Take a journey into this picturesque cottage that has been overrun by soul stealing spiders. Can you escape this lair without losing your soul?
• La Vey Institute – Follow the Lady in White’s heart as you venture into the torturous institute that has become a scientific nightmare with ghastly creatures born half man and half beast. As you enter you’ll see the master summoning the last spell to release Oblivion.
• Oblivion – Enter through the gates of Oblivion to find the Lady in White’s mind. Try to escape the tormenting demons and monsters to restore balance and release her from her nightmare. Returning to the park for a second year, The Ghost Manor™ VR Experience, brought to you by Modal, will be spookier than ever! Enter into a fun and chilling virtual reality walk-through experience like no other. Explore haunted grounds full of magical illusions, eerie sights, and frightening encounters with the unknown. The Ghost Manor™ VR Experience will be available evenings during Castle Dark.
