Titanfall_Gameplay_Thumbnail

February 11, 2014 — The future of first person multiplayer action is upon us, and now’s your chance to be among the first to fall for Titanfall. Starting today, Respawn Entertainment and EA are inviting gamers to sign up and register for a chance to be a part of the upcoming Titanfall closed beta, a large-scale event coming February 14 to Xbox One and PC. For complete details on the beta and to register, please visit www.Titanfall.com/beta.

Already the winner of more than 80 awards from critics around the world, Titanfall is one of the most anticipated games of the year. Fans around the world from Tokyo to Seattle to London and beyond have been impressed with its thrilling and dynamic multiplayer gameplay featuring elite assault pilots and agile, heavily armored 24-foot tall titans.

The Titanfall beta will include three game modes – Attrition, Hardpoint Domination and Last Titan Standing. In Attrition, teams win by eliminating anyone or anything on the opposing side – pilots, titans and AI soldiers. In Hardpoint Domination, teams will capture and hold three hardpoints throughout the map to earn points and secure victory. And in Last Titan Standing, everyone on both teams starts with a titan in a round-based mode that ends when one team has lost all of their titans. There’s no respawning and no replacement titans can be called down.

Set in the near future on a distant frontier torn apart by war, Titanfall drops players in the middle of a conflict between the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation (IMC) and the Militia. The action is rapid and varied — featuring parkour-style wall running and massive double jumps. The freedom to shift back and forth between pilot and titan allows players to change tactics on the fly, attacking or escaping depending on the situation and extending the action vertically to new heights.

For more news about the Titanfall beta, including when it will begin, stay tuned to our official Titanfall channels on Facebook, Twitter and at www.Titanfall.com. Titanfall is coming to Xbox One and PC on March 11, 2014 in North America and beginning March 13, 2014 in Europe. The Xbox 360 version is being developed by Bluepoint Games and will be released on March 25, 2014 in North America and March 28, 2014 in Europe.

Guild Wars 2 Nothing Lasts Forever Trailer

guildwars2-05

BELLEVUE, Wash. – February 11, 2014: ArenaNet, developer of the acclaimed Guild Wars franchise, today released the teaser video trailer for the upcoming living world release “Escape from Lion’s Arch,” coming February 18. The ominous trailer focuses on the trademark city of Lion’s Arch, a beacon of prosperity in Tyria that acts as trading hub for players. The city has proven resilient to numerous onslaughts by enemy races, pirates, the undead, even an Elder Dragon. Now, the villainous Scarlet Briar may present this proud city with its most terrifying foe yet.

As the teaser trailer shows, the forces of the sylvari supervillain will soon descend upon Lion’s Arch. Aetherblade airships, dirigibles of death piloted by the dreaded pirates who now serve Scarlet, loom over the city like birds of prey. On the ground, the cruel serpentine krait and subterranean dredge hunt for prey and terrorize its citizens. In one grim moment in the video, the famed nautical architecture of the city burns as innocents try to flee the devastation.

Lion’s Arch is a thriving city familiar to any Guild Wars 2 player, home to in-game traders and vendors as well as the asura gates that lead to the far corners of Tyria and beyond. The city has served as the focus for in-game holidays and events including Halloween and Wintersday, and has been featured extensively in living world releases such as “Sky Pirates of Tyria” and “Cutthroat Politics.” Lion’s Arch played an important part in the original Guild Wars, and is featured in the extension of the game lore in the novel “Sea of Sorrows” by Ree Soesbee. “Escape from Lion’s Arch” will be available to all Guild Wars 2 players on February 18.

Guild Wars® 2 is a visually stunning MMO that offers players the epic grandeur of a massive role playing environment combined with innovative combat mechanics, dynamic events, and customized personal storytelling. Building on the success of Guild Wars, NCSOFT and game developer ArenaNet™ have created an MMO that lets gamers play the way they want, while at the same time retaining the no-subscription-fee business model that made the original Guild Wars so popular.
