December 16, 2013 — Today CCP announced a holiday treat for players of its free-to-play MMOFPS DUST 514, available exclusively on PlayStation 3. CCP is hosting a series of in-game events throughout the month of December to mobilize and reward those mercenaries participating in the battles raging throughout New Eden.
There will be three major in-game events during the month, each rewarding DUST 514 mercenaries in a myriad of ways: Developer Invasion, Weapon Trials: Rifle Round Up, and The 12 Days of DUST. Below are details on the timing of each event, as well as criteria for earning rewards.
Developer Invasion – December 16, 18 & 20
The name says it all! December brings the opportunity to throw down with the makers of DUST 514 when CCP developers enter the game as either allies or targets. No matter who loses, everyone wins.
• For a few hours across these dates, teams of 4-6 developers will fight in “Other Contract” matches against players.
• If players fight with or against developers, they will earn Double SP + Double ISK rewards.

Weapon Trials: Rifle Round Up – December 18-25
Gear up with a Standard level of either the Combat Rifle or Rail Rifle in matches during this event. Both weapons are all-new in the Uprising 1.7 release!
• For every 10 kills scored, players will receive one Prototype Rifle of the same type of weapon. (e.g. 40 standard Rail or Combat Rifle kills will receive four AUR Prototype Rail or Combat Rifles)
• Rack up the kill count and bolster your arsenal.
The 12 Days of DUST – December 25-January 5
The holidays are all about giving, and at the end of December CCP is offering players the chance to receive epic in-game items on a daily basis.
• Players will receive 12 bonus in-game items just for logging in and winning a single match each day during this event.
• Each day that a player logs in and wins, CCP will reveal a secret item. Players will receive a range of DUST 514 gear – rare dropsuits, powerful weapons and specialized equipment.
Each offer is good for one day only! Players must log in before 11:00 UTC each day to win and redeem!
Also from December 17 to January 4, CCP will be offering a 75% discount on the DUST 514 Tactical Edition, which offers everything a mercenary needs to kick start their career in New Eden, including the game’s client, skill booster, vehicles, fully-fitted dropsuits, and Aurum currency.
