Utherverse Announces Virtual WowFanCon Convention

Utherverse has announced that they are putting on a virtual, online fan convention for Blizzard Entertainment’s MMO, World of Warcraft, called “WowFanCon”. The virtual convention will be held using Utherverse’s fully-3D virtual world software. The convention will feature speakers, community gatherings, prize drawings, and more. It will take place from October 7th, 2011 through October 8th, 2011.

“World of Warcraft is the most popular online game, and we are the largest virtual-world company,” said Brian Shuster, Utherverse founder and CEO, “so it’s the perfect marriage. For the first time ever, millions of our users and millions of WoW players can come together and experience a massively multi-user online convention, for free, without leaving home. PDP Announces Limited Edition Game Hardware for Modern Warfare 3

Performance Designed Products has announced a limited edition gaming hardware line for Activision’s upcoming Modern Warfare 3. PDP is readying the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Collector’s Edition Wireless Controller for the PlayStation 3 as well as the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Chat Headset for Wii. These limited edition accessories will be available just in time for the worldwide launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on November 8th. The Call of Duty: MW3 Collector’s Edition Wireless Controller for PlayStation 3 will be available at retail and on PDP.com for a suggested retail price of $49.99, while the Call of Duty: MW3 Chat Headset for Wii will have a suggested retail price of $24.99.

Thor and Captain America for 3DS Get Release Dates

SEGA and Marvel have announced the release dates for their upcoming Thor: God of Thunder & Captain America: Super Soldier video games for the Nintendo 3DS platform. Thor: God of Thunder will be available September 13th, 2011 followed by Captain America: Super Soldier on October 25th, 2011. Both titles were released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and Nintendo DS earlier this year.

Electronic Arts and BioWare have released a new trailer from their upcoming Play4Free title, Warhammer Online: Wrath of Heroes. This trailer shows off the character of Felicia as well as her many abilities. Wrath of Heroes is currently in beta testing but is scheduled for release this fall.

ACE Team and Atlus have released the final trailer for their new action-strategy title, Rock of Ages, where players control gigantic boulders to take out their opponents. Also, the game has one heck of an art design which you should enjoy in the trailer below. The game is out today on the XBox Live Arcade and on September 7th on Windows PCs.
