Battlefleet Gothic: Armada – Orks Trailer

March 25, 2016 – Battlefleet Gothic beta participants have already had a brief taste of the Ork’s devastating potential, when they faced them during the last mission of the prologue.

The Orks will be arriving at full speed in the coming days to shake up the beta’s intense battles even further. The total opposite of Chaos’ long-range gameplay and the Imperium’s balanced style, the Orks fight in the most direct, brutal (and fun!) way possible. Players will be able to wield the Orks’ mighty power in beta skirmishes, before ramming enemy ships in multiplayer.

All of this is illustrated in today’s trailer, which gives a fittingly loud introduction for the Orks. Supported by a primal void-shanty heard on every battlefield they’re invading, these destruction specialists take a wild pleasure in abolishing enemy fleets, leaving behind only metal scraps and burning carcasses.

Romain Clavier, Game Director of Tindalos explains:

“It’s a huge pleasure for a young studio like ours to see Battlefleet Gothic gather so much interest from so many players. The beta has been incredibly helpful in spotting relevant demands from the community. Following this huge response we’ve made the decision to spend some additional time integrating your feedback into the game. As a consequence, we will release Battlefleet Gothic: Armada on April 21st.

Based on that, we felt the need to release more content, both to reward current Battlefleet players and to introduce even more madness to this beta! As a result, we’ve decided to unleash the Orks in the coming days. This faction will turn your Battlefleet Gothic: Armada experience upside-down, with a totally different, more brutal style of gameplay. Having them in the beta will also allow us to balance them perfectly before the game releases.

There’s another important thing we’d like to announce. Currently, the Space Marines fleet is offered for free to all Early Adopters. With the support of our publisher Focus, we’ve decided to develop another faction that we’ll unveil soon. This new faction, available in a few months, will also be offered for free to all Early Adopters – people who pre-ordered the game or purchase it during the first two months after release. We wanted to show you, the community, that we’re passionate about supporting this game and its players. We’re always paying attention to your feedback, and this is how together we’ll make the game we’ve all dreamt about.”

Preorder Battlefleet Gothic: Armada’s Early Adopters Edition at 10% off, and receive the Space Marines fleet + one additional fleet (more info coming soon) for free, as well as instant access to the beta, which will continue until the game releases. Battlefleet Gothic: Armada will release April 21st on PC.

Homefront: The Revolution ‘Guerrilla Warfare 101’

Larkspur, Calif., March 24, 2016 – Deep Silver revealed today the “Guerrilla Warfare 101” trailer, the first in a series of new Homefront: The Revolution gameplay trailers. It showcases the type of gameplay and combat variety players can expect in the game’s single-player campaign as well as in the online co-op Resistance Mode.

Faced with the technologically superior forces of the KPA who are occupying Philadelphia in 2029, the Resistance needs to fight their war for liberation on their own terms. Urban guerrillas use their knowledge of the environment, their custom homebrew weapons, and their Guerrilla Toolkit to their advantage to even the odds.

As a guerrilla fighter in the Resistance you:

Use the in-game and on-the-fly weapon customization system to tailor your weapons to your style of play. Add a silencer to infiltrate under the cover of darkness in a dynamic day and night cycle, or equip a muzzle break to forego stealth in favor of loud firepower. Equip different sights and scopes or different grips to go from short range mobile stability to long range accuracy.

Convert your pistol to a submachine gun, your assault rifle to a mine launcher, your crossbow to a flamethrower and more!

Use explosive and incendiary devices to ambush the KPA, distract patrols, or hack enemy cameras and drones to turn enemy tech against them. Modify any of your Guerrilla Toolkit items with a bit of good old American ingenuity; throw it, trigger it, lay a trap, or put it on an R/C Car to take direct control.

This city is your city. Learn your environment to know where to strike from, and where to escape to. In the urban population centers of the Yellow Zones, strike unseen and melt away in the city’s alleyways. In the war-torn Red Zones of Philadelphia, hit hard and unexpected, then jump on your motorbike to evade the inevitable KPA reinforcements.

Master of Orion Early Access Phase 2 Starts Tomorrow

March 24, 2016 — Master of Orion’s galaxy is expanding further. Beginning tomorrow, March 25, the second phase of Early Access starts, delivering more races to play and dominate the galaxy. Explorers can wield the power of the hive with the Klackon, control the technological might of the Meklar, or harness the ruthlessness of the Terran—an original race exclusive to the Master of Orion Collector’s Edition. A new victory condition has also been added: Technological.

The Klackon are an insectoid alien race. Their hive mind allows them to work collectively to develop tech rapidly and can build a large fleet in a heartbeat—perfect for a head-on strategy. The hyper-logical and mechanical Meklar may not be the most industrious, but they are masters of technology and can produce fleets of huge ships.

The Terran, a twisted off-shoot of the Human race, has spent millennia in deep space preparing for war. They are skilled at engineering and have the ability to create powerful ships at a reduced cost. You don’t have to be genius to know that you should focus on growing your army to dominate space. However, if you want to keep some enemies close, the Terran can strongly influence the Galactic Council thanks to their commanding nature.

If, for some reason, this selection of aliens doesn’t quite fulfill your game plan, you can now create your own custom race, mixing and matching the different attributes of the existing races. Custom races are perfect for exploring new ways to conquer the stars and the possibilities are endless. Ever wanted to see what the intellectual and reserved Psilons would be like if they had the skills to become warmongers? Now you can.

The second phase of Early Access also brings a new path to victory: Technological. Dominate the galaxy through your research prowess by unlocking technologies and become the first to complete massive tech achievements and feats of engineering.

Early Access is NGD Studios’ opportunity to collect player feedback, and the team has been listening. So far, the team has improved Tactical Battles, enhanced AI, added ship design and implemented new levels of difficulty.

The NGD team still want your feedback, so why not join the over 50,000 intrepid “Masters of Orion” already playing and make the game greater together with NGD Studios and the WG Labs Team?

Fans can also check out the latest Master of Orion Developer Diary. In it, the crew at NGD Studios take you through the creation of their distinct art assets and race design:

World of Warships Soviet Cruisers Set Sail

March 23, 2016 — There is a new threat cresting the horizon, set to send a shiver down every captain’s spine, no matter which vessel they command: Soviet cruisers. In update 0.5.4 for World of Warships, Wargaming has delivered a full Tech Tree branch of nine warships. The update goes live today in North America; European and Asian players can get their hands on the new content on March 24.

If you’re looking to become a scourge of the seas then Soviet cruisers have the speed and firepower to make that a reality. They’re not the type of vessel you want to rush into battle with—that’s a good way to get yourself sunk. Soviet cruisers are sneaky snipers. Their long firing distance and trajectory allow them to sit back, keeping themselves from danger, while raining shells from afar. Their rapid nature makes them extremely versatile. You can scoot out of danger and reposition yourself to the ebb and flow of battle, so be sure to sharpen those tactics.

“We started developing the Soviet cruiser branch over two years ago,” said Artur Plociennik, World of Warships Global Publishing Producer. “We spent a lot of time getting these vessels as authentic as possible, and we can’t wait for players to head into battle and take full advantage of their great speed and firepower.”

This new branch includes the Project 26 Kirov cruiser, a vessel with the size and speed of a light cruiser, but sporting the weapons of a heavy cruiser. Kirov’s unique armaments mean you’ll find nothing else like it in World of Warships. Project 66 Moskva, a vessel which only existed in blueprint form, was envisioned to take on the USS Des Moines. Now you can make that battle a reality.

To get the most out of Soviet cruisers, it’s not all about speed and firepower. Without the tools under the hull, you’re not taking full advantage of these beasts. Radar is a great new tool at higher tiers, because it lets you spot enemies roaming the seas out of sight.

So, what are you waiting for? Action Stations!
