Escape From Tarkov Developer’s 2016 Report Video

January 6, 2017 – Developer Battlestate Games today released a new video for their upcoming FPS/MMO — Escape from Tarkov. In the new video, the development team discusses the current status of the game, features they’ve worked on over the past year, in-game weapons and locations, and the ongoing Closed Alpha. Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore story-driven MMO featuring elements of FPS and RPG. The events take place in the Russian city of Tarkov, which has been sealed off by roadblocks and sunk into the chaos of local warfare between private military companies. Escape from Tarkov’s Hazardous Environment Combat Simulator employs a number of custom system modules to create incredibly immersive gameplay and make players feel the reality of what is happening in the game.

The closed beta-testing of Escape from Tarkov is planned for 2017. The Walking Dead Attraction Walker Boot Camp

June 24, 2016 – As we near the July 4th opening of “The Walking Dead” attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood, we’re excited to share another behind-the-scenes video featuring Greg Nicotero, executive producer and director of AMC’s hit-show “The Walking Dead.”

Universal Studios Hollywood recruited Executive Producer and Director of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” and actors who portray Walkers on the hit television series to lead “Walker Boot Camp” as the theme park continues its preparation for the July 4th opening of its all-new permanent daytime attraction, inspired by AMC’s “The Walking Dead.”

Nicotero and “real” walkers lead the “Walker Boot Camp” as they put a cast of actors through the rigors of how to be a walker– move like a walker, stalk prey like a walker, walk like a walker and remain in character like a walker.  Every walker nuance was exposed from proper body posture to the juxtaposition of predator versus prey.

“The Walking Dead” attraction will be a real-life interpretation of AMC’s award-winning television series.  To elevate its authenticity, Universal Studios Hollywood is partnering with “The Walking Dead’s” creative team, including visionary executive producer and director, Greg Nicotero and his special effects company, KNB Efx. Nicotero’s team, responsible for masterfully creating the show’s realistic decaying walkers, will construct prosthetics, utilize original molds and painstakingly apply paint and detailing to the attraction walkers.

Fast & Furious – Supercharged Ride Extended Behind the Scenes Video

Universal City, California, April 28, 2015 – Universal Studios HollywoodSM shifts into high gear for the June 25 opening of “Fast & Furious—Supercharged” with the launch of “Road to Fast,” a dynamic campaign featuring a series of original images and an engrossing behind-the-scenes video, including interviews with the cast of its new thrill ride: Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Luke Evans.

A collection of six images, each featuring the stars of the ride depicted in a variety of action sequences, will be unveiled sequentially beginning today with a group shot of the characters racing alongside a Studio Tour tram. A lengthier, more complex look at the making-of this revolutionary new attraction, featuring insightful perspective and commentary from the cast and producers, is also being released, and can be seen here.

“Fast & Furious—Supercharged” is a technologically advanced, epic ride that reunites stars from the Fast & Furious series in a groundbreaking mega-attraction designed to catapult guests into the high-stakes underground world of street racing at perceived speeds in excess of 120 miles per hour. This high-octane ride is conceived as a new installment to the Fast & Furious franchise and will debut as the grand finale to Universal Studios Hollywood’s behind-the-scenes Studio Tour that can only be experienced at The Entertainment Capital of L.A.

This dynamic hydraulic motion-based thrill ride will tell an original Fast & Furious story, fusing sophisticated hyper-realistic special effects with a state-of-the-art 3D audio system and 3D-HD imagery projected onto the world’s longest and most expansive 360-degree screen. Spanning nearly 400 feet in length to encircle Studio Tour guests within a newly constructed 65,000-square-foot structure on the legendary backlot, the sprawling custom-built screen will employ 34, 4K projectors and a sophisticated projection configuration system to envelop guests in unprecedented realism.

Bohemia Interactive Announces Make Arma Not War Contest Winners

March 26, 2015 — Bohemia Interactive, creators of the Arma series and the standalone version of DayZ, today announce the winners in the €500,000 Make Arma Not War content creation contest for Arma 3.

In the Make Arma Not War contest, Arma 3 content creators were invited to compete in four different categories: Total Modification, Singleplayer Game Mode, Multiplayer Game Mode, and Addon.

As part of a unique collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Bohemia Interactive also instituted the Health Care in Danger Special Award. Given to the entry which covers the topic of health care in danger the best, the winner of this award will go on a one-week trip to an ICRC mission in a foreign country, organized by the ICRC.

The session will be broadcasted from the official Arma 3 channel on Twitch.tv.

In order to better facilitate player-created content, Arma 3 features Steam Workshop integration, which enables people to easily share and install custom scenarios and addons. Bohemia Interactive plans to expand Arma 3’s Steam Workshop implementation to support full mods, total conversions and much larger file sizes in the near future. In addition, the studio is pursuing other opportunities that might help player-created content flourish, such as a potential Steam Workshop marketplace where Arma 3 content creators could sell their work. More specific details will be shared in a future devblog.

Featuring a strong ensemble cast – headlined by Richard Hatch (BattlestarGalactica, All My Children) as Captain Gaz – Loadout: Going In Hot is inspired by the popular third-person shooter that was created, developed, and released by Edge of Reality. Introducing viewers to Captain Gaz and his loyal crew of the HMS, the new sci-fi short deliver to viewers the same excitement, absurdity and key gameplay elements featured in the video game.
