Guild of Dungeoneering Mobile Launch Trailer

DUBLIN, IrelandJuly 21, 2016 – Independent developer Gambrinous, in partnership with indie publisher Versus Evil today proudly announced the release of their card based role-playing game (RPG) Guild of Dungeoneeringfor iPhone, iPad and Android™. The innovative and entertaining new card driven dungeon-crawler combines dungeon building, exploration and combat mechanics with nostalgic ‘hand drawn’ style graphics on graph paper. The game, which does not need an online connection to play, is now available to download on the App Store for iPad and iPhone, and Google Play for Android devices, for $3.99/€3.99/£2.99. Guild of Dungeoneering promises to release major content updates on a regular basis.  Early adopters of the game will be rewarded from the start and get all future updates for free, while others that wait to play the game will have to pay an additional amount when the game launches major in-app purchases.

“We always knew Guild of Dungeoneering would work incredibly well on tablets and phones,” said Colm Larkin of Gambrinous. “I’m proud to say it’s an even better version of the game than the one we launched for PC exactly one year ago today. We’ve reworked the interface to make sure players have the best possible experience on mobile, and kept everything else that made the game so wonderful: from the singing bard and our hour-long soundtrack to our massive single player campaign.”

Guild of Dungeoneering turns traditional dungeon crawling on its head by putting a new spin on classic game play – rather than controlling a dungeoneer, players build their dungeon around him (or indeed her). Each dungeon uses a random deck of cards where players can expand the dungeon and strategically place loot and monsters to lure their dungeoneer in the direction they want him to go.  When their dungeoneer confronts a monster, either willingly or not, players take control of their hero and their battle deck, a living deck based on the class and items your dungeoneer possess, and fight to the death where the victor will be decided. Over time, as players collect enough gold and gain more experience at the expense of their dungeoneers, they will be able to build out their Guild by adding rooms to attract more-powerful adventurers, unlock better weapons and special cards for their Guild deck all in the name of fame and fortune.

“Guild of Dungeoneering brings to life the dungeon crawler in such a unique, fun way through cards that ooze character,” said General Manager Steve Escalante. “Through its nostalgic, hand drawn look, its clever use of music and deep adventures, Guild of Dungeoneering has captured the imagination of TCG and Roleplaying gamers on PC and Mac.  We are so excited that you can all now play this wonderful indie title on handheld devices too! “

To mark the release of their first major title, nDreams – the UK’s largest independent developer/publisher solely focused on creating virtual reality games and experiences – has issued a launch trailer that spotlights The Assembly’s thought-provoking story and tense atmosphere. Watch it here: https://youtu.be/P_ywcq0-QxE

A selection of new screenshots, highlighting the game’s intricate environments, are also available to download from here.

A non-VR edition of the game will be released for Windows PC at the same time, priced at $19.99 / €19.99 / £14.99. Once purchased, owners will have the option to upgrade to the VR edition at any time in order to experience the game as originally intended.

With The Assembly, nDreams have set out to make the most convincing interactive story in VR to date by combining realistic graphics with life-like positional audio and an intuitive in-game UI. Even so, every interactive story needs a narrative that captures the player’s imagination, which is why The Assembly has been set against a backdrop of current events and real-life societal anxieties. In today’s world, life-changing technology is being developed at a rate where laws and institutions can’t keep up. This can lead to all kinds of difficult decisions regularly being made by people on all ends of the spectrum and in The Assembly, players will need to make tough choices that have repercussions in the game. Having this as the foundation for The Assembly’s story allows the game’s creators to ask players whether it’s possible for one person to make a real difference, while also challenging their views of the Assembly and its members.

nDreams has designed The Assembly to be an ideal introduction to virtual reality, but one that gamers will still recognize as a fully-fledged videogame. The game includes a range of control schemes to suit both novice and more experienced VR gamers alike, enabling players to freely explore The Assembly’s cohesive world in comfort, without ever having to leave their chair.

For more details about the game, please visit The Assembly’s website, Facebook page, Pinterest board and YouTube playlist, or visit nDreams’ blog for a wealth of behind-the-scenes information.

The Assembly will be released on PlayStation 4 later this year, following the launch of PlayStation VR.

Starpoint Gemini Warlords Summer Update #2

July 20th, Zagreb, Croatia — The alpha version of Starpoint Gemini Warlords on Steam is what Early Access is all about. Building a dedicated community, gathering feedback, listening to fans, and step by step providing them with the game they truly want. The Croatian game development studio Little Green Men is well aware of that, delivering an update to their game every two weeks, which in other circumstances could just as well be called DLC. The changes and improvements are countless!

This time it’s no different. Check out the brand new gameplay trailer HERE to see what awaits you in the updated version of Starpoint Gemini Warlords. If you’d like to test all the new features for yourself, you can get a copy of the game on Steam for as little as 22.99 EUR.

Starpoint Gemini Warlords is a unique blend of space sim, RPG, and 4X games. You’ll be able to conduct research and construction in your own gigantic space station, command your war fleets and heroic companions on invasions into enemy territory, build up your stronghold, trade, mine, salvage, and remind your enemies why they should be afraid of you.

There are tons of features in the game that players asked for while they were playing its predecessor, Starpoint Gemini 2, including those that were either too demanding or too extensive to be added at the time. In fact, implementing these changes required a whole new game to be developed and that is how Starpoint Gemini Warlords was born. Growing with every update released, here is the latest content the game has been enhanced with:

  • Civilian fleet tasks were added and can now be conducted.
  • The civilian task tutorial mission was added.
  • The construction tutorial mission was added.
  • Encounter quests were added.
  • War fleets can now be assembled ship by ship.
  • Fleet management was added.
  • The Korkyran fleet was added to the ship roster.
  • Several new station models were added to the mix, including:
  • – Korkyran battlestation (Alexandria)
    – Korkyran depot
    – Korkyran scrapyard
    – Memphis
    – MultiOps HQ
    – Tortuga Bay
  • On top of that, new stations and planets were added.

And that’s not all! To check out the complete list of changes for this update, click THIS LINK to see what awaits you in the Gemini Universe.

Starpoint Gemini Warlords is now available on PC with more platforms to be announced in the future. No release date has been confirmed yet. For more information about the game, please visit the official website at www.starpointgemini.com, as well as the Facebook and Twitter profiles.
