Times Square Gets Mario Makeover
On November 12, 2011 Nintendo decked out New York City’s Time Square for the launch of their Nintendo 3DS title, Super Mario 3D Land. Guests were able to traverse life-size water pipes, trampoline coin-jumping, and even slide down a flag pole at the end of the “level”! Super Mario 3D Land is out now on the Nintendo 3DS platform.

Thor and Captain America for 3DS Get Release Dates
SEGA and Marvel have announced the release dates for their upcoming Thor: God of Thunder & Captain America: Super Soldier video games for the Nintendo 3DS platform. Thor: God of Thunder will be available September 13th, 2011 followed by Captain America: Super Soldier on October 25th, 2011. Both titles were released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and Nintendo DS earlier this year.

Hanging with Majesco at E3
It was a pleasure to spend some time with the fine people at the Majesco booth at E3. They were showing off a wide range of titles that I was able to spend some hands-on time with. I got to check out 23 new Microsoft Kinect Titles. Take Shape is a fitness game that has you and your friends or family pairing up to form shapes as they approach you on a conveyor belt. The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword E3 2011 Trailer
Nintendo has released to all Zelda fanatics everywhere the official E3 2011 trailer for The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword. The trailer shows off some dramatics but a lot of in game footage as well. Check out the trailer below and the game when it releases later this year for the Wii console.

Wii U Demo Reel Used 360 & PS3 Graphics
During Nintendo’s E3 2011 press conference they showed a demo reel for third party titles coming to the newly announced console Wii U. The demo showed off games like Arkham City and Ghost Recon with really impressive graphics. In an interview later in the evening Nintendo president Reggie Fils-Aime told Kotaku that the graphics in the reel were actually from the Xbox 360 and PS3. The reason for using those images was because the Wii U is “still a year away” and the intent was to focus on the name of the titles offering support.

Dubbed the “Wii U”, the new console offers an iPad-like controller that allows the player to not use his tv at all if they do not wish to. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and TT Games have announced a new Harry Potter title set during Harry’s final years at Hogwarts in the book series.
