February 3, 2015 — Today Team NINJA released the official launch trailer for the upcoming DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Last Round. On track to launch in North America on February 17, 2015, DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Last Round will be available at the price of $39.99 MSRP for PlayStation 4, Xbox One (physical and digital) and $29.99 MSRP for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (digital only). KOEI TECMO America has also confirmed today that the Steam PC version has been pushed back, and is now scheduled to launch in North America on March 30, 2015.

DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Last Round will take to the ring to deliver the signature DOA fighting style, wrapped up in the most graphically impressive version of a DEAD OR ALIVE game ever seen. Combatants will present an unparalleled level of life-like detail, and smooth striking animations that will firmly place every fighter in the heat of the moment. The game’s dynamic interactive stages once again boast a range of visually striking locations from around the world, while offering even more destruction, deadly new danger zones and a higher level of strategic choices for players to utilize in the quest for victory. Character customization options get even deeper, as DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Last Round will offer over 400 open and unlockable costumes, including 31 brand new costumes consisting of winning designs created by actual Dead or Alive players. Brand new hairstyle and accessory options round out nearly endless possibilities to adorn the fighters for any occasion. Players can bring their run of rosters, costumes and  save data from DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Ultimate, as previously purchased DLC content will be transferable from last gen consoles to the PS4 and Xbox One (PS3 to PS4, Xbox 360 to Xbox One).

Players wanting a taste of what DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Last Round has to offer can play the main game content in DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Last Round: CORE FIGHTERS free of charge. PlayStation 4 players will have access to the free-to-download version via the PlayStation® Network which includes four fighters -Ayane, Hayate, Kasumi and Ryu Hayabusa – and almost every game mode will be available. Xbox One players will have access to a free trial version of Last Round via the Xbox Games Store consisting of the same free-to-download fighters and features as noted above, but is not expandable via additional purchases. Xbox One users wanting an extended experience can purchase DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Last Round: CORE FIGHTERS at a launch discount of $4.99 MSRP for the first two weeks after the games release, from that point on the price will raise to $9.99 MSRP. The purchased Xbox One version of Core Fighters includes all of the contents as the free trial, but adds four more fighters to the mix in Hitomi, Tina, Jann Lee and Bass, and is expandable from there via additional purchases. All console users can transfer unlocked titles, costumes and Story Mode progress from the last-gen versions of DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Ultimate to the current gen version of DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Last Round (PS3 to PS4 and Xbox 360 to Xbox One), as well as compete with combatants from both the free and full retail versions. Additional characters, Story Mode and other features can be accessed for a fee. Tecmo Koei TGS 2012 Lineup

BURLINGAME, Calif. – September 17, 2012 – TECMO KOEI America, a leading publisher of interactive games, today announced its Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2012 lineup of playable demos. The Tecmo Koei booth will showcase a range of action and fighting games including the next generation of DEAD OR ALIVE combat, DEAD OR ALIVE 5, with the full version of the final game available for play and Team NINJA available for interviews. Other titles available for demos include the action fighter DYNASTY WARRIORS 7 Empires, the brawler Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2, and the tactical action game WARRIORS OROCHI 3 Hyper. The Tecmo Koei booth is located in the 2nd Hall, Booth #2-N1, and will be open Thursday, September 20 through Sunday, September 23 during show hours.

DEAD OR ALIVE 5 incorporates a wealth of martial arts fighting techniques into its distinctive fighting style to create a captivating new generation ofDEAD OR ALIVE combat. In the game, which releases on September 25th for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, players will once again take on the roles of the famed cast of DOA fighters in an action-packed brawler set in visually striking locations from around the world. The famed DEAD OR ALIVEhand-to-hand combat unfolds in new 3D stages that dynamically change as the fight progresses. The game’s sterling cast includes not only stars from the DOA series but also select fighters from the iconic Virtua Fighter series.

§  Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2: The sequel to Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage, a collaboration between the tremendously popular manga Fist of the North Star and Tecmo Koei’s own Warriors series. In addition to continuing the story, this title will provide a reimagining of the content of the first game, with an even greater emphasis on the original manga. The addition of more playable characters and an increased focus on the Warriors series’ famous tactical action will serve to make this the ultimate Fist of the North Star game experience.

§  DYNASTY WARRIORS 7 Empires is the greatest Empires ever, including all the characters from Dynasty Warriors 7 and Dynasty Warriors 7 Extreme Legends. Designed to provide a great variety of play styles, Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires is a mix of strategy and tactical action where players can fight for power, use cunning and strategy to gain power, or use a number of different approaches to unite the Three Kingdoms.

§  WARRIORS OROCHI 3 Hyper: A tactical action game, Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper transports the much loved heroes of the Dynasty Warriors andSamurai Warriors series into a story that also features characters from other popular titles such as Ninja Gaiden, Warriors: Legends of Troy, Bladestorm, Dead or Alive and a brand new character unique to the game. Along with the huge cast, the game lets players unlock abilities and influence the story, customize scenarios and share them online, and enjoy co-op play using independent screens on the Wii U GamePad and TV.

Featuring the beloved cast of DEAD OR ALIVE, this trailer heralds the advent of the fifth Dead or Alive Tournament with a series of electrifying vignettes showcasing numerous fighters rising to the challenge. Hinting at the pulse-pounding action, drama and intrigue that surrounds the fabled tourney, the trailer sets the stage perfectly for the September 25, 2012, release of DEAD OR ALIVE 5. The game has received an ESRB “M” rating and final pack art is now available for media access.

Dead or Alive 5 Announced at TGS 2011

While at the 2011 Tokyo Games Show, Tecmo Koei and Team NINJA have announced that they are indeed developing Dead or Alive 5. DOA5 is due out next year on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms. The developers stated that they are marrying the traditional DOA fighting styles with new, MMA-based fighting styles for an interesting twist on the series gameplay. Additionally, they announced that the arenas in which these fights will take place are not only visual eye-candy but, also, interactive environments that fighters can take advantage of.

“It is exciting for us to officially let fans know that we’ve been working on DEAD OR ALIVE 5,” said Yosuke Hayashi, Team NINJA leader. “Our vision for this next installment is that of what we believe is the evolution of DEAD OR ALIVE which is to deliver a high quality, high energy action fighting experience that still keeps to its amazing spirit.”
