Razer Announces Destiny 2 Themed Peripherals

LOS ANGELES – Razer, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, today announced a partnership with Bungie, one of the world’s most respected games studios, on its upcoming titleDestiny 2, published and distributed by Activision.

Razer will release a suite of Destiny 2-themed products to celebrate the game’s upcoming launch on PlayStation®4, Xbox One™, and PC.

The products include the Razer DeathAdder Elite, the most accurate mouse ever created; the Razer Ornata Chroma, a keyboard that combines the tactility of a mechanical keyboard with the comfort of membrane keys; the Razer ManO’War Tournament Edition, a headset designed for ultimate comfort that is compatible with every gaming platform; and the Razer Goliathus Speed, the industry benchmark for soft gaming mouse mats.

Destiny 2 was announced earlier this year and is the sequel to Destiny, which set records as largest new console video game franchise launch in history.

Merchandising Partners to Be Showcased at Destiny 2 Gameplay Premiere on May 18

May 16, 2017 – Bungie, in collaboration with Activision, aim to expand the Destiny 2 adventure through new and existing licensee partners for Destiny 2’s merchandising program.

Bungie has partnered with Funko to bring Destiny’s story characters to life in Pop! Vinyl form. This August, consumers can collect iconic characters from the Destiny 2 universe including Cayde-6, Ikora Rey, and Commander Zavala with other supporting characters at select retailers.

Destiny 2’s availability on PC for the first time also presents a strategic partnership opportunity with Razer featuring a product suite of gaming peripherals: the Razer Ornata Chroma keyboard, the Razer ManO’ War Tournament Edition headset, the Razer DeathAdder Elite mouse, and the Razer Goliathus Speed mouse mat.

Other Bungie licensee partnerships include, BioWorld (Apparel), KontrolFreek (Performance Thumbsticks for Gaming Controllers), Insight Editions (Art Books, Journals and Poster Books), Mattel – MEGA Construx (Construction Sets), McFarlane Toys (Action Figures and Collectibles), Think Geek (Accessories and Collectibles), ThreeA (Collectible Figures), and RockLove (Jewelry).

Destiny 2 ‘Rally the Troops’ Trailer

Santa Monica, CA – March 30, 2017 – Bungie and Activision Publishing, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATVI), announced Destiny 2, the sequel to the internationally acclaimed Destiny, a first-person action game that takes the player on an epic journey to defend humanity from annihilation. In Destiny 2, the last safe city on Earth has fallen and lay in ruins, occupied by a powerful new enemy and his elite army, the Red Legion.   Every player creates their own character called a “Guardian,” humanity’s chosen protectors.  As a Guardian in Destiny 2, players must master new abilities and weapons to reunite the city’s forces, stand together and fight back to reclaim their home. Destiny: Rise of Iron – Age of Triumph Launch Trailer

March 23, 2017 – On March 28, Age of Triumph, the final live update of the Destiny 1 era content will go live.

Age of Triumph is a celebration of the player’s journey through the world of Destiny. Guiding their travels, the largest Record Book to date will contain pages of new challenges to complete for most of Destiny activities. In addition to conquering the new Record Book, players will be able to experience the return of iconic Raids raised to 390 Light, take on the new Daybreak Nightfall modifier, earn new gear and weapons, collect items of Destiny’s past, and more.

McFarlane Toys Partners with Bungie for Destiny Figures

Tempe, Ariz., – February 15, 2017  In a collaboration of legendary proportions, McFarlane Toys is proud to announce that it is once again partnering with Bungie – this time to create Guardian action figures for Destiny, scheduled for release this summer.

Developed by Bungie and published by Activision, Destiny is a first-person action shooter that features cinematics storytelling alongside cooperative and competitive gameplay. Destiny: The Taken King Live Action Launch Trailer

September 10, 2015 – Activision, Bungie, 72andSunny, Digital Domain, and RESET have come together again to create a blockbuster live-action launch trailer to build upon the excitement and momentum leading up to the global launch of Destiny: The Taken King, the first major expansion to the Destiny universe.

The spot, “Evil’s Most Wanted,” is directed by Joseph Kosinski (Oblivion, TRON: Legacy). The trailer features a Fireteam of Guardians, accompanied by their ‘Ghost’ companion, adventuring to take on the vengeful, King Oryx and his army. The spot is set against “Black Dog” by Led Zeppelin.

Destiny: The Taken King, created by the acclaimed developers at Bungie, hits store shelves worldwide on September 15th for PlayStation®4, PlayStation®3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
