Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow Teaser Trailer

May 17, 2017 – Jam City, via its game studio TinyCo, FoxNext Games, and Matt Groening today released a new fully-animated teaser trailer for Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow, a new game coming soon to mobile devices. Created in partnership with FUTURAMA creator and Executive Producer Matt Groening and his Curiosity Company, along with Executive Producer David X. Cohen, original FUTURAMA writers, and Rough Draft Studios, the teaser is the first new animation from the FUTURAMA universe since the show’s original TV run ended in 2013. Jam City is working with the writers, animators, and cast to produce even more original animation that will have fans waving their tentacles in the air.

“I’m proud to say that Futurama lives! In mobile-video-game teaser trailer form, anyway,” said Matt Groening, creator of FUTURAMA and THE SIMPSONS. “If you squint, it’s kind of like a little episode!”

“Working on this new Futurama animation has been a thrilling adventure,” said David X. Cohen. “I finally understand how Neil Armstrong must have felt when he first landed on the lunar surface, watched some funny cartoons on the control screen, and did whatever else was on his schedule that day.”

Jam City also released more details about gameplay itself. Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow will blend simulation, combat, galactic exploration, and choose-your-own-adventure mechanics together to bring the escapades of the Planet Express crew to life. The game features two main settings: New New York, which focuses on simulation and character progression gameplay, and Space Adventures, in which players will explore and battle their way through planets, nebulas, and other weird stuff across the FUTURAMA universe.

In New New York, players will focus on rescuing characters, collecting special items and materials, expanding their characters’ capabilities by leveling them up and crafting ability-defining character outfits, and tackling story-driven quests. Events that occur in New New York will often move the game’s overarching narrative forward, by allowing players to assemble a crew of their favorite FUTURAMA characters and take to the stars for Space Adventures. While traversing the depths of space, players will fight alien enemies in retro arcade-style combat, rendered in beautiful 16-bit graphics, and explore strange lands in which their choices determine their fate.

“The Futurama universe is chock-full of exotic planets inhabited by wacky creatures (and Smizmars),” said Josh Yguado, Co-Founder, President and COO of Jam City. “Whether you’re counseling an alien overlord on Omicron Persei 8 or battling rogue robots on the streets of Chapek 9, exploring this crazy universe and interacting with its denizens will be a blast.”

Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow is coming soon to mobile devices via the App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon Appstore. More information on the game will be released in the near future.  For more details on Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow as they are revealed, and to connect with FUTURAMA fans who will help create and play the game, please visit: www.fb.com/playfuturama, www.twitter.com/playfuturama, and www.Jam City.com.

Family Guy: Another Freakin’ Mobile Game Launches

Los Angeles, April 25, 2017 — In its fourth collaboration with FoxNext Games, today Jam City announces the worldwide launch of FAMILY GUY: Another Freakin’ Mobile Game, a hilarious and boundary-pushing twist on the match-3 genre featuring characters and humor fans have grown to love over the past 18 years. FAMILY GUY: Another Freakin’ Mobile Game is available to download for free through the App Store and Google Play worldwide.

Created in close partnership with the Family Guy Production team, FAMILY GUY: Another Freakin’ Mobile Game, gives anyone with a mobile device access into the town of Quahog to follow Peter around in his booze truck. The puzzle-based game gives players a chance to interact with everyone’s favorite characters from the FAMILY GUY universe.

“We absolutely love the FAMILY GUY brand — the rebellious, in-your-face dialogue and positioning of the show,” said Josh Yguado, Co-Founder and President and COO of Jam City. “Many popular mobile games are sweet, straightforward, and vanilla. With FAMILY GUY: Another Freakin’ Mobile Game, we wanted to take this opportunity to create a mobile game that is much edgier, louder, takes risks and is made for adults.”

The First Story Driven Puzzle Game for Adults

FAMILY GUY: Another Freakin’ Mobile Game is not your typical match-3 game. Gameplay experience includes:

  • Introducing new audiences to the genre through Family Guy’s shocking humor, content, and storyline. Match choices reveal entertaining in-game character animation.
  • Endless fodder for fans. New content added weekly, featuring regular episode tie-ins that introduce storylines, hijinks, and debauchery from the show into the game.
  • Out-of-the-box game modes. Serve drinks to Peter Griffin and the cast, battle the Giant Chicken in epic Boss Fights, and much more.

“Another freakin’ mobile game? I think we all feared this was coming,” said Rick Phillips, EVP, FoxNext Games. “There’s no better way to turn match-3 on its head than bringing the gang from Quahog into the mix.”

Jam City has made a science out of turning some of Hollywood’s largest entertainment franchises into hit mobile games. The mobile gaming publisher is the creator of 6 of the Top 100 highest grossing games played in the United States across both iPhone and Android devices.

Zombie Gunship Survival Coming to Mobile Platforms

(San Francisco, CA) March 1, 2017Mobile gaming publisher flaregames has today – alongside developer Limbic – revealed the May 2017 launch date for Zombie Gunship Survival, the next installment in the #1 top-grossing Zombie Gunship franchise. Coming to both iOS and Android, flaregames and Limbic revealed the mobile shooter game’s anticipated launch date via a NEW TEASER TRAILER, with the team showing off the game’s high-definition visuals and intense scenario-based action at GDC 2017 this week.

In Zombie Gunship Survival, players take the gunner seat aboard a heavily-armed AC-130 aircraft and wage war against zombies. As a survivor of a full-scale zombie apocalypse, players gun down the undead from the skies and protect their ground troops during risky scavenging missions. After securing valuable resources needed for survival, players can upgrade their devastating weaponry and build a remote airfield, which acts both as a shelter for survivors as well as a base for players’ operations.

The second installment in the Zombie Gunship franchise, which received IGN’s “Editors’ Choice Award” in 2011, Zombie Gunship Survival features a user interface that follows first-person shooter (FPS) console game traditions like Call of Duty and Battlefield. Unlike many mobile games, players are fully involved in the action and are therefore in direct control of its outcome. Also, by unlocking new weapons and troops, the way players can approach specific battle scenarios is reinvented each time, leading to freshness of experience and deeper immersion.

“Zombie Gunship was conceived through our love of realistic shooters – set in dark worlds – that are common on PC and console, but not mobile,” said Arash Keshmirian, CEO and co-founder, Limbic. “One particular inspiration was from games like Call of Duty where you are providing fire support from the air — we’ve also drawn a lot from military shooters and simulations. With Zombie Gunship Survival, we’ve made enormous strides in the visuals, arsenal and battle gameplay and can’t wait to globally launch the game in May.”

“Limbic are a gaming publisher’s dream and a world-class development team with the vision to redefine the mobile shooter genre,” said Klaas Kersting, CEO and founder, flaregames. “Zombie Gunship Survival is a sequel millions of gamers have been waiting for, not least the huge fan base of the original game.”

To observe the anniversary, Disruptor Beam is launching its Convergence Day Galaxy Event today through this weekend.

With this event, comes new crew: a new version of the popular and devious Ferengi Quark, who conceived of Convergence Day, and C.O.P. Founder Picard, a new version of the popular captain voted on by players during the event “The Second Battle of New York.” At the end of this event, with Captain Archer indisposed, qualifying players voted for Captain Picard to replace him as one of the founders of the Coalition of Planets. All players will also receive a Supply Kit, more crew slots and discounted Dabo Wheel pulls throughout the weekend.

In the coming weeks, Disruptor Beam will introduce The Gauntlet, an exciting new crew-based player-vs-player mode. While open to all players, The Gauntlet will especially challenge experienced Captains to make the most out of their crew’s abilities while competing against other experienced leaders. After assembling a team of five crackerjack crew, Captains will be able to face off against the chosen teams of up to 200 other Captains. Each Gauntlet contest will feature a different skill, so every entry will be different.

Since Star Trek Timelines’ January 2016 launch, Disruptor Beam has dramatically expanded the game’s scope with galaxy-changing storylines, player-vs-player ship battles, collaborative gameplay in fleets, hundreds of new crewmembers and other significant enhancements.

GameSir G3s Gamepad Review

I game a lot, someone might say I’m always gaming (I have a game running in the background right now).   I started at about 5 years old and the only thing I collected more than game systems is game controllers and setups.  The controller that comes with the system isn’t always what the player will find fits their gaming style best but sometimes, such in the case of the GameSir G3s Gamepad, one controller can be the one to rule more than one system.

Game On:

First off the controller looks like a PlayStation 3 controller and quickly and easily pairs with the systems.  The controller is a little lighter weight than the normal PS controller for a reason we will get up to later and as a result can be far more comfortable for much longer.  This also is nice in case you decide to add adapters or extra padding to your controllers making it become so that some parts like KontrolFreeks FPS stick extender.

One of the best reasons the controller also works with Android phones which attach onto the GameSir G3s’ individual mobile bracket that can be connected around the controller and expanded to fit your Android device in.  Then you simply connect to the two systems,  download a couple games and away you go on a portable system using a full size console controller.  This of course makes the device a bit top heavy but since you can screw down the desired angle of the device onto the top so you will have it as forward, back, or evenly heavy as you find comfortable.  The bracket folds up nicely in your pocket when you aren’t using it so that it is always handy.

Another nice aspect of the GameSir’s versatility is that it goes great with Window’s PC systems using a USB dongle so it is wireless and if you are more used to PlayStation controllers than Windows ones this is a great opportunity to use that style.  The GameSir G3s also works with Smart TV/boxes

Tech Specs:

  • 32-bit high-speed MCU chip, high sensitivity and on time response.
  • Support iCade, X-input, D-input and Android native mode games.
  • Lasts for 18 hours working time, built-in rechargeable battery, double shock vibration.
  • Multi-Platforms: Android/Windows/PS3. Connection: 2.4GHz/Bluetooth 4.0/ Wired connection.
  • Free App “Happy Chick”game emulator brings you more authentic gaming experience, you can scan the QR Code in User Manual to install it.

Game Over!:

GameSir’s G3s is the controller you want around your house and on the go.  Whether it is your Android, Smart TV, PC or gaming console the G3s is the controller you need.  It usually retails for about $80 dollars but, right now, it is priced at 60% off on Amazon so get it while the getting is good!
