Ryu Hayabusa and More Coming to WARRIORS OROCHI 4 Ultimate

Burlingame, Calif. – September 20, 2019 – KOEI TECMO America and developer Omega Force revealed three new additions to the WARRIORS OROCHI 4 Ultimate roster; including Greek god, Hades; the heroic warrior, Achilles; and KOEI TECMO’s iconic ninja, Ryu Hayabusa. They join a cast of over 170 playable characters in the thrilling new entry to the popular ‘1 vs. 1,000’ hack-and-slash series where heroes from DYNASTY WARRIORS, SAMURAI WARRIORS, and the gods of ancient history band together seeking the truth behind the powerful forces who have transported them to wage war in this mysterious new world.

The first new fighter to join the WARRIORS OROCHI 4 Ultimate lineup is Hades. The brother of Zeus and god of the Underworld, Hades is known for his cold demeanor as he rules over the dead; caring little about what happens in the world above until now. He joins his brother Zeus in an anti-Odin coalition as they fight to discover the true purpose of Loki. Joining them in battle is the fearless fighter Achilles. Known as the mightiest warrior of the Greek army and the hero of the Trojan War, Achilles is feared by enemies and allies alike. He fights not just for victory, but for honor and fame. The third character joining the epic clash is not a god, but one of the most beloved ninjas in all of gaming: Ryu Hayabusa. The young member of the Hayabusa ninja clan and heir to the Dragon lineage, the “super ninja” continues his daily fight against evil with his signature Dragon Sword ready to slice and dice anyone who steps in his way – human or god.

In addition to the new characters, KOEI TECMO America also announced that popular Japanese voice actress Saori Hayami has signed on to not only add her beloved voice to the game, but she will also sing the WARRIORS OROCHI 4 Ultimate theme song. The title track will be available in both Japanese and English when the game launches in North America on February 14, 2020 on the PlayStation®4 Computer Entertainment System, the Nintendo Switch™, the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X, and digitally on Windows PC via Steam®.

The new game will be available as both a standalone title, for those who haven’t yet experienced WARRIORS OROCHI 4, or as a special Upgrade Pack for those who already own the previous game.

World War Z Second Season of Free Content Announced

John Wick Hex Release Date Trailer

Wrath of the Jormungandr Playable in For Honor Until October 3

SAN FRANCISCO September 19, 2019 — Today, Ubisoft announces the Year 3 Season 3 For Honor®  in-game event, Wrath of the Jormungandr starting today until October 3 at 6am PT. With more than 20 million players, For Honor is available on PlayStation®4 entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X and Windows PC. For Honor is now available on UPLAY+,* Ubisoft’s subscription service.

The in-game event will come with a special limited-time game mode, Ragnarok, which transforms the Breach game mode in celebration of the Jormungandr, their Hamarr, and the map Storr Stronghold. Players will have the chance to wield The Mighty Hammer, creating remarkable combat with opponents in this special version of Breach mode. The Hammer is spawned by the deadly Sea Serpent, and will change the moveset of each character, adding two new special abilities to take on enemy factions:

  • Chain Lightning: An ability that does medium damage and has a small knockback, and jumps to nearby enemies.
  • Ground Smash: A one shot area of effect attack on the ground at the position of the wielder.

The event also introduces a new Battle Outfit, Storr Champion, as well as fantastical Illustrious Outfits, flowing with the true spirit of the Serpent. In addition, the event also adds a new execution, Rampage of Ragnarok, as well as themed weapons.

Year 3, Season 3 ’Hulda’ brought players the Jormungandr, a feral warrior who is part of the Viking Faction of For Honor. Following the events in Dead Shades, another legendary battle marked Heathmoor’s history. During Year 3 Season 1, Campaign 1, the Knights had conquered most of the continent. As they marched on Valkenheim, they clashed with the Vikings of Thornfinn Coast in Battle 28. To everyone’s surprise, the Vikings held the fortress, repelled all enemies from the North, and won all the remaining campaigns. The Wrath of the Jormungandr event tells the battle that led the Vikings on a path to absolute victory in Year 3 Season 1.

Atelier Ryza – Tokyo Games Show 2019 Trailer

Burlingame, Calif. – September 19, 2019 – KOEI TECMO America and GUST Studios detailed the intricate new Secret Hideout system today for their upcoming JRPG Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout. As Ryza, the budding alchemist, and her mischievous group of friends set out in search for adventure, they will be faced with a wealth of challenges to overcome. A series of circumstances leads the group into the depths of the mysterious Sunken Mine, a deep and dark dried-up environment that is home to something potentially evil — a gate leading to another world.

To prepare for their harrowing journey; to save their homeland from whatever is lurking in this far off land, the adventurers create a secret hideout as their new base of operations. As a budding young alchemist, Ryza will have to ensure she diligently practices synthesizing between her travels — the higher her alchemy level the more useful her items will be for future adventures. In addition, players will also able to use the exciting new Gathering Synthesis system from the hideout to create new lands to explore; they can use Forging to create new weaponry perfect for tougher foes; and Item Duplication, to easily craft a variety of consumable items for their journey.

Since Ryza’s Secret Hideout would not be complete without personalization, players will be able to customize their hideout to reflect their own personality through using various items found while exploring the multiple worlds. Ryza and her team will be able to increase their stats depending on how the base is remodeled, and the gathered items can be utilized strategically to grant useful stat boosts on the field during battle. These Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout features will unlock as players experience more of the game’s gripping narrative, quests, and magical lands.

A Year of Rain PC Closed Beta Opens More Slots

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint: Squad Up Live Action Trailer

SAN FRANCISCO — September 18, 2019 — With just weeks to go until the highly anticipated release of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon® Breakpoint, Ubisoft is kicking off the game launch with the release of a new live-action trailer starring Grammy Award–winning artist Lil Wayne and directed by David Leitch of Minted Content.

The live-action sequences were shot in Vancouver, Canada, directed by David Leitch (Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and Deadpool 2) and produced by Minted Content in Los Angeles. Ubisoft worked with San Francisco–based agency Argonaut on the development of the concept and overall creative direction and execution of the “Squad Up ft. Lil Wayne” campaign.

“More than anything, the key point of all action is to tell a story, and in this spot we’re telling a story with these characters in the world of the game and also the characters in their worlds at home,” said David Leitch. “We wanted to make sure we have these distinct characters that jump off the page and that the action defines them in a real, particular way. We have this fun juxtaposition with the different characters and their voices, too, which is a great conceit.”

The “Squad Up ft. Lil Wayne” television ad will air nationally to promote the launch of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint and can be seen during key television moments, such as Thursday Night Football on October 3 and WWE SmackDown on October 4.

Ubisoft also announced that an open beta will take place September 26–30 on PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices including the Xbox One X and Windows PC. The open beta will be an invitation for all players to try Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint for free, ahead of the worldwide launch on October 4.
