Nvidia has further thrown down the 3D gaming gauntlet by announcing 3DTV Play, a technology that will allow their GPUs to interface with full-on 3D television sets. The technology will be released later this Spring for a price of $39.99 - note: if you are a current 3D Vision user, you will get the software free-of-charge.

Why should we care? Picture playing World of Warcraft in 3D on your 50'' LCD set... Yes.
