Welcome to the weekend, which can mean only one thing: It’s time for The Weekly Setlist! Fresh off of a week that had the Hockey Night in Canada theme song available for download, we have some more craziness in store for you! We have a major artist that comes from a genre outside the norm for Rock Band, a three pack that helps us get into the Saint Patrick’s Day mood, and a cover by an animated fat kid from Colorado. Hmmm, who could that kid be? Find out with our full details for the content that will be available next week, After The Break!

We will send our gaze first to Activision and the content that will be available next week for Guitar Hero. In honor of Saint Patrick’s Day, they will be giving us a three pack by Los Angeles-based Celtic rock band, Flogging Molly. I am a big fan of Flogging Molly (ed. note: Who isn't?!?) and they are a great addition to the Guitar Hero catalog. These songs will all be fun to play and will help you get into that Saint Patty’s Day mood. My only concern is that I have yet to build a drink holder into my drum set to hold my Guinness for this Wednesday.
Available on Xbox 360, Wii and PlayStation 3 system (March 18):
Flogging Molly – “Requiem for a Dying Song” from the album Float
Flogging Molly –“(No More) Paddy’s Lament” from the album Float
Flogging Molly – “The Seven Deadly Sins” from the album Within a Mile of Home
As for Harmonix, they have decided to throw all of us a curve ball with an artist hailing from outside of the rock/punk/country genres that Rock Band is known for: Lady Gaga. We will be getting a four pack from Lady Gaga, but will also be getting a cover of one of her songs, sung none other by Eric Cartman from South Park! While I am not a fan of Lady Gaga, I absolutely have to give the Cartman version of “Poker Face” a listening, because his version of “Sail Away” is still on my iPod.
Available on Xbox 360 and Wii (March 16) and PlayStation 3 system (March 18):
Lady Gaga – “Bad Romance” from the album The Fame Monster
Lady Gaga – “Just Dance” from the album The Fame Monster
Lady Gaga – “Monster” from the album The Fame Monster
Lady Gaga – “Poker Face” from the album The Fame Monster
3 Doors Down – “It’s Not My Time” from the album 3 Doors Down
Mute Math – “Control” from the album Mute Math
South Park – “Poker Face (Cartman version)” from South Park
The Subways – “Oh Yeah” from the album Young for Eternity
The Subways – “Rock & Roll Queen” from the album Young for Eternity
A lot of good stuff coming out next week so remember to give the new Rock Band Network Store a glance to see what new artists are available there. Well, that’s it for this week. We will see you here next week on The Weekly Setlist at Gamingshogun.com!
