Apparently, this will not be the last time we have an E3 expo. The ESA has told Gamespot that the expo will return but would not elaborate on any planned changes as of yet.

They said, 'As we do every year, we're beginning the process of surveying exhibitors and attendees to determine potential changes to the summit...Once this is completed and shared with the ESA's Board of Directors, we will make an announcement about the specifics of the 2009 E3 Media & Business Summit, which will occur.'

Personally, we LOVE E3. We just don't love it like it was this year. We need to bring back a bit of the glitz and glamor that was so pervasive before. Loosen up the crazy media invite system and bring in some of the public too (not many, just enough). The spirit of what E3 was, still burns enough in our hearts for us to forgive the current state of the expo should they fix it.
