Rennes, October 26, 2017 – Thrustmaster is expanding its racing ecosystem with the release of its first rally wheel –the Rally Wheel Add-On Sparco® R383 Mod! With this new device, produced under Sparco® official license, Thrustmaster strives to deliver increasingly realistic rally competition experiences.
Designed for Rally Competitions
Measuring 13″ / 33 cm in diameter, the newest addition to Thrustmaster add-ons is a 1:1 replica of the original Sparco wheel.
The Rally Wheel Add-On Sparco® R383 Mod has been designed in the purest rally racing spirit, focusing on the essentials while maximizing efficiency. Rally competitions rank among the most demanding races thanks to tortuous tracks, and sudden flurries of turns and switchbacks with little or no visibility, and real-life racers praise the original R383 wheel. In response to the enhanced realism delivered by new rally racing games for PC and consoles, Thrustmaster is providing e-racers with the same performance enhancement devices as real-life drivers. The only feature not included is the co-pilot, but since rally games offer an on-screen road book, racers can now use this remarkably efficient wheel to hurtle through “long right curves,” “tight lefts” and “hairpins”.
The wheel boasts a sleek design, with a black suede leather-clad rim and a solid, black brushed metal faceplate. The two large, wheel-mounted metal paddle shifters, measuring 5″ / 13 cm in height, are adjustable to be instinctively accessible at all times, right at the racer’s fingertips.
From a technical perspective, nine action buttons and a directional pad with a push-button are located around the wheel’s faceplate, offering easy access in rally racing conditions. The carbon-style button areas, compatible with all platforms, are directly inspired by those found in rally cars.
