JUNE 25, 2015 – Burbank, CA – The Nerdist Conival will be home to all manner of robots, wizards, scientists, ninjas and nerds as Chris Hardwick’s Nerdist Industries, Felicia Day’s Geek & Sundry, and Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls are bringing their own festival to Comic-Con.

That pew-pew-pewing you hear off in the distance? That can only be one thing: the epic return of Laser Tag to San Diego Comic-Con. This year Nerdist Industries, the multi-platform creator of genre and pop-culture content, is teaming up with 2K and Gearbox Software for Battleborn™ Laser Tag at Petco Park. What better way to celebrate the all-new shooter from the creators of Borderlands than by raining laser fire down upon your friends? Free to the public, Battleborn Laser Tag will let two teams go head-to-head to prove who the biggest badass of all is. And after you’re done pew-pewing your friends, team up with them and play Battleborn’s five-player co-operative story mode, featuring 10 of the 25 outlandish characters coming in the game this winter!

Looking to do battle in a manner that’s less clumsy than a blaster? Trial by combat in a more civilized age called for The Joust. Geek & Sundry is happy to answer the call with its own twist on medieval chicken. The G&S games don’t stop there. A TableTop area will have game demos and open play for gamers who love analog and digital gaming.

Want to make art, not war? Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls will restore your calm with art and look to the future with the power of STEM. Create a unique piece of art as a keepsake from the big show and learn how teens are coming together to build amazing robots with Meredith Walker and our resident Smarties.

Is your journey to San Diego all about seeing stars? There will be plenty of star gazing to be had at The Nerdist Conival with four full days of live interviews featuring nerd luminaries Felicia Day, Wil Wheaton, Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, and Daniel Radcliffe, plus the casts of upcoming shows like “Colony” with Josh Holloway, films like Legendary Pictures’ WARCRAFT and so many more. See the full interview schedule on Nerdist.com: http://nerdist.com/comic-con-2015-the-nerdist-conival-battleborn-laser-tag-panel-schedules-and-more/

The Nerdist Conival will also be home to special signings with guests like Eli Roth, Thrilling Adventure Hour, Chris Hardwick, and Felicia Day. Lord Frieza has returned and is accepting recruits to join his army in an epic battle against Goku. Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ is bringing power levels above 9000. With giveaways, special photo stations, food and a who’s who of Comic-Con celebrities, you’ll find you won’t be the only person that wants to run away with this Conival.

The Nerdist Conival with Geek & Sundry and Smart Girls will be open 11am-5pm Thursday, July 9th through Sunday July 12th. You can stay up to date on all of the excitement by using #CONIVAL on social media throughout the weekend.
