Uppsala, Sweden – March 3, 2015 Gaming Corps, a Swedish video game developer, announced today that they are developing a game based on the Christian Cantamessa-directed film, AIR. Both the movie and the game are slated to be released in 2015.

The film, Skybound Entertainment and Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman’s first feature, is a gritty character-driven sci-fi thriller starring Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy, Blood Diamond) and Sandrine Holt (House of Cards, Hostages). After an international conflict leaves the planet’s air toxic and its surface uninhabitable, the government makes a last minute attempt to save the human race by creating a series of underground bunkers filled with cryogenic sleeping tanks that hold a group of individuals who will serve as the seeds of civilization’s resurrection.

“We are very happy to work with Skybound Entertainment on this unique property. We aim to create and experience that will please fans of the movie as well as gamers” says Nicklas Dunham, CEO of Gaming Corps.

“We look forward to expanding the world of AIR into the interactive space with the team at Gaming Corps.  Working alongside the creator, Christian Cantamessa, we are excited about delivering a new set of characters and storylines within the world that Christian has conceived,” said Skybound Interactive President Dan Murray.

The game will be available on Steam, consoles and mobile platforms later this year.
