Vuzix Corporation has announced the release of their Wrap 1200 video eyewear display. The Wrap 1200 features two 852×480 LCD displays with 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio options. The screens replicate viewing a 75″ inch display from ten feet away (only in the privacy of your own eyeballs). NTSC and PAL compatible, the Wrap 1200 also allows for viewing of both 2D and 3D video. The Wrap 1200 is available in limited quantities for a retail price of $499.99. Gamers take note – a head-tracking version of the design, dubbed the Wrap 1200 VR, will be available later this month.

“We spent over a year developing the Wrap 1200, ensuring it is one of the most advanced, feature rich video eyewear ever produced,” said Paul Travers, CEO Vuzix Corporation. “The combination of a 16:9 high resolution widescreen display along with our AccuTilt® display angle technology provides our customers with an unmatched mobile viewing experience.”
